After the whistle and after the horn sounded to end the game there was a skirmish behind the NU net, and my son, who does statistics for the commercial radio station that broadcasts away games thought he saw a bu player throw a punch, but no discipline was assessed by the officials. The officials did not allow the NU players to congratulate Rawlings until they got the bu players away. Assistant Coach Sebastian LaPlante wanted the team to go directly to the locker room and not shake hands, presumedly to avoid the possibility of anything happening in the line causing penalties and maybe even DQs if fighting erupted, even though Coach Greg Cronin wanted them back on the ice.
If that was Sebastien's thought process I think he was correct and I have no problem at all with what he did, and that way we can always say "no harm, no foul". Remember, bu had nothing to lose by starting something, especially by the seniors, since they will not be playing anymore this season.
