You're assuming that they would put #1 seed in early game. Back in 09 even though BU was #1 seed they played in the late game against BC. NESN might find a beanpot championship rematch more intriguing for late game and has it happen.

BC has already taken the early game...that was announced last night.

If this score holds, can you imagine the irony of the matchups after the memorable Beanpot and DaCosta's "knee check" game.

From the Hockey East website write up of the MC-ME game "Merrimack (24-8-4) will take on either Boston College or New Hampshire next Friday at the TD Garden in Boston. If Boston University defeats Northeastern Sunday, Merrimack will play BC at 5 p.m. If Northeastern defeats BU, Merrimack will play UNH at 8 p.m. Both semifinal games will be broadcast live on NESN." I certainly hope NESN doesn't change it.

5-2. ENG. NU advances to play BC, Merrimack versus UNH. Good luck Huskies, good luck Warriors. Hope it's an NU-Merrimack final. :)

Clendening hits Daniels at the whistle, with a clean hit, Cronin goes batty, has to be restrained from going after Clendening...and then orders his team to not shake hands.

Wow.

And kudos to the NU fans who sounded like we were at Matthews tonight. Pathetic effort by the student section tonight.

Unbelievable.. too close for comfort.
What else would you expect the way these 2 have duked it out this season..
Fitting end to a great series. Win or lose.. nxt one hopefully is a barnburner as well. Go Huskies :)

Cronin went to his players on the ice and apparently exchanged with cronin and then parker and cronin came the closest two HE coaches have ever come to fistacuffs. Parker then yelled at a lineman for about 3 minutes. It looked like a lot frustration. No handshakea at the end however cronin did shake hands with BU
