I'll toss Veli-Matti Tiuraniemi for Maine into the mix for the All-Name Team.

Try and say that three times fast.
 
This team has some great alumni. I always preferred names that I could eventually learn to spell or at least learn to pronounce.
It's hard to beat a pretty good forward at Providence by the name of Lyle Wildgoose.
Another fav was Roman Kinal at NU. He has a son named for him playing juniors. Perhaps the son may grace an HEA roster someday. Is his wife or daughter named Suzy?

Thread has been quiet so I'll throw my 2 cents in order to bump it back up.

Tier 1-Few Questions Marks
1. Lowell
2. BU
3. Providence

Tier 2-Some Glaring Question Marks
4. Northeastern (coin flip with BC)
5. BC
6. Vermont

Tier 3-Too many Questions Marks. Complete crap shoot. I compared schedule games (home/away) against each other as this is where most of these teams will earn conference points anyway.

7. Maine (10 total with 7 at Alfond)
8. UConn (Begin season with 2 at Alfond... Advantage Maine)
9. UNH (If they take 3 of 4 points away from UConn they make the jump to 8)
10.UMass (8=fewest number of games)
11.Merrimack (3 home 6 away... the 'Mack got screwed)

Where is the Coaches/Media poles this year? Is HE not doing one? Every other league seems to have published one already.

The Coaches' Poll is usually released in conjunction with Media Day. Can't tell you exactly when that is since nothing about it is posted on the HEA website.

It's scheduled for Tuesday. Expect a bunch of releases that afternoon on the website.

Wonder what the television situation is for this year. think the 2 year deal with American Sports network mercifully expired

Coach Umile finishing up with 599 is about as predictable as the sun rising in the east every morning.

That would be a very undignified way to go out, if you ask me. While it would be a tough break to end a win or two below a nice round number, it would be completely unfair to Souza. Not knowing when Souza would take over would be very awkward. What happens if the team starts the season on a losing streak next year. At what point would you say, forget it, and give it to Souza anyway.

I don't see any chance of delaying just to get a win total.

Actually ASN itself mercifully expired, they ceased to exist last spring.

The actual game broadcast wasn't bad as it was NESN doing it with ASN graphics. What was horribly painful was the between periods/between games in-studio people, absolutely unbearable. Also the 6:30 or 8:30 start times were ridiculous.
