Hobey Hat Trick

Re: Hobey Hat Trick

Don't lump me in with her.:mad::mad::mad: I am a human GPS.

False.

Now about Yager...three wrong exits in a row.

Re: Hobey Hat Trick

Open letter to Hobey Baker Committee:

Seems you left the part out of Matt Frattin's bio where he was arrested for drunk driving and blowing a 0.12 on the brethalyzer. Oh but he wasn't convicted? Sometimes the justice system is a massive failure - just look at the OJ Simpson case. Does that mean OJ has Character too in the eyes of the Hobey Baker foundation?

Oh, you forgot his second arrest that he was convicted on in a court of law in NoDak as well. What a winner.

Really shows a lot of character to overlook past failures because it's convenient rather than looking at the total athlete's career. He could have killed someone but you'll probably still give him the Hobey - because ****, he can shoot the puck so who cares if he got drunk and drove around. I guess it's cool when athletes do it.

PS - better hook up a generator to ol' Hobey - make some money off all that spinning, given the rising energy prices

PPS - I'm sure some NoDak homers will say I'm sore because RPI lost to NoDak, but I would be saying this regardless - it's indefensible to drive drunk, sorry

You only told half the story. Do you work for the Washington Post?

That's all well and good...but supposedly the Hobey is supposed to be about only the current season's stats/academics/etc.
Granted, I'm guessing that the committee can't help but look at past credentials, but if they followed that guideline of "current-year-only", then Frattin looks pretty good.

That said, I still think Miele gets it.

Re: Hobey Hat Trick

Frattin was named to the WCHA All-Academic team...try again.

No offense but even though every school in the WCHA is quality, they are hardly ivy league. Michigan Tech is very good, but come on.

The CCHA isn't ivy either but off the top of my head there are at leasts three schools that can crush anything in the WCHA (in no particular order- Michigan, Notre Dame, Miami).

Hockey East certainly dwarfs anything the WCHA has done in academics.

Re: Hobey Hat Trick

"Frattin or bust" or "Frattin busted"... what is the more likely headline in tomorrow's Grand Forks Herald?

Tune in tomorrow to find out.

Oh and congrats to Miele on winning the Hobey.

After the transformation Frattin has gone through over the last two years, I think the former is more likely.

also, Congrats to BC and the other Eastern frauds on being crappy.

Miele will get it but to stir up the WCHA crowd, Frattin has a PERMANENT RECORD and that counts in the current year. It doesn't matter if it happened 20 years ago or last year, his DUI is still on his current PERMANENT record. Also, it's funny how there aren't any other NoDak players in the top ten in the National scoring leaders. Miami has three in the top 7. I thought Hockey was a team game? Frattin is a prima donna...

Let the negative repping commence.
