Hitch up the sleds tDogs, its Iditarod time: tUMD v UAA

Re: Hitch up the sleds tDogs, its Iditarod time: tUMD v UAA

Due to the fact that Grant turns 24 at the start of the season next year, and you tell me where i have said that before.

Is there an age limit with college players? I thought you said it on the blog, or the blog chat. If that was someone else, accept my apologies.

someone else, and i don't think there is an age limit, but if you remember last year one of our players left early and was turning 24 heading into the following season (Crowder), and 24 is when most players who wanna play pro start there careers or earlier, from what i have heard.

Oldest you can be in the NCAA is 25 years old during your final season. One reason you don't see too many 22 or 23 year old freshmen.

Dogs need a sweep and they need one in a big way. Problem is, I can't remember the last time they've swept Anchorage up there. Probably UAA's 1 win season several years ago.

That one win season was a long time ago, under John Hill, and the win came against UA_. At UAA, Duluth has a slight advantage, 13-11-6. The last time there was a sweep in Anchorage, it was by the Seawolves in 04-05. It I am reading it right, the last time Duluth swept at UAA was in 94-95.

Grants birthday is 8/29/86, so he is good.

I have a feeling Grant will be gone not only because he's getting up there in age, but also due to the fact that scouts went to st. cloud to check him out when the team went down there. Unfortunately for them they didn't get the memo about his injury and him not making the trip down that weekend. You dont necessarily have to have inflated stats to get noticed. Just look at Jay Beagle. He had 20 points in his final season at UAA and he immediately went to the ECHL. They look at a player's all-around play

Man, I hope he comes back. Losing Clarky and Lunden is a big blow to the offense, we need Grant back next season! I want to see him have a break out year like Kevin is having this year. Clark has been on fire and it's fun to see. But Tommy has had point blank shots from the point, and hasn't scored, hopefully he will put those in the net against Duluth.

Re: Hitch up the sleds tDogs, its Iditarod time: tUMD v UAA

UAA is going to purposely lose both games just to screw UND over. This is why no one likes the Seacows.

Seriously? On purpose? I doubt that...UAA is in their season ending death spiral where 10th place rushes up to meet us like an Afghan soldiers family on his return. What on earth are we doing? UAA needs an overhaul. You cannot hit in this league anymore, so we seem to have recruited the wrong type of players. Our offense is an attempt to cylce the puck on the boards but that just results in 30 seconds of cycling and a turn over with 2 or 3 forwards trapped behind the play. Goaltending has been well............look at the save % then you fill in the blank. Defense always seems to make a turnover a game that ends up in our net. PK...go ahead and score short handed on us it's our specialty. PP weak at best. Is this season over yet? Are we playing someone this weekend? Please let this end soon. But hey I might be wrong we may play well this weekend. Prove it.

We do need Grant back. This year we sure could have used Crowder.

I like to cheer on the home team...but would have to say Las Vegas odds makers would favor a sweep. Split if we stay out of the box.

I say split personally. But hopefully we can sweep.

It is great that we have secured home ice now and do not have to worry about it while we travel to Alaska. That takes a lot of pressure off the team

We just cannot seem to shake whatever it is we have. Since the St Clod miracle on ice we have just not been able to do anything.

And I think with that pressure off, tUMD will likely sweep.

Any injuries for Duluth? Not sure about UAA, they have been dealing with injuries all season long so it's hard to keep up.

Reiter has a hand injury I believe...

Other than people are recovering.

Some players were sick while traveling. That's all I've heard.
