Head Count for Lake Placid

17'sfanNU

Fan Of Div III Hockey, GO NORWICH
So the final four teams, Amherst vs Oswego and Norwich vs St. Norberts, are heading to Placid. Who's going? Has Amherst ever been in the Frozen Four (or can we refer to the Div III NCAA Ice Hockey Finals as the Frozen Four)? Should be a very exciting weekend (on top of St. Patty's Day) and I can't wait to get there!

Also, since Plattsburgh will not be in attendance, are they considered the host still? Or is there a host? Just wondering.

Re: Head Count for Lake Placid

I will be there photographing yet another journey to the Frozen Four. Can't wait just like everyone else. The week ahead can get over fast enough! :D

Re: Head Count for Lake Placid

I will be there with my Laker's jersey on along with three other Laker faithful.

Plattsburgh and ORDA are co-hosts.

Re: Head Count for Lake Placid

Two here...I bought my tickets in January...maybe hoping Plattsburgh was going to make it?
All kidding aside, we go because whether Plattsburgh is in or not we enjoy it...always some great hockey! :)

Re: Head Count for Lake Placid

There will be 4 in our party! We have rented a condo for the weekend! Looking forward to some great hockey!

Re: Head Count for Lake Placid

Absolutely - rolling with a large posse aka Laker Nation...

Not that it matters for those of us who will be there, but I don't see the Semis on Friday on the schedule to streamed by NCAA.com...I recall USCHO pulled together some rubber bands, paperclips and duct tape for a show the last time in LP - is that the best one can hope for in 2012???

I will be heading up on Friday. Looking forward to some great hockey and 60 degree weather.

Re: Head Count for Lake Placid

I will head up ,its great hockey even if the Cards arent involved . I will be pulling for the Lakers as it speaks well of the SUNYAC if they win. It will be a very low key support but of the remaining teams ,rooting for our Conference runner-up is fair. ;)

All signs are pointing to a Prezidential landing in Lake Placid next weekend hoping for a win/win national championship game between the employer and the alma mater :)
