There's no way he controlled that with a directing or kicking motion. That's gotta stand. He was simply trying to stop.

No goal. Leave it to this ref crew to f-up that call.
I'm pretty sure the rule is that there has to be a distinct motion that indicates the puck being directed in. Unless they want Mangene to clean out the Mack goalie - he has to turn his skates to stop.

Merrimack has lost control. Toomey slashes Abbott before a faceoff. He gets 2 for hitting after the whistle. Abbott gets 2 for embellishment (HORRIBLE CALL). Kalamitas then two hand slashes a Maine player out of nowhere, gets 2 for unsportsmanlike.

I will put money on Benedetto coming out and evening it up somehow. I'm going to guess 3 per side in the box. That's not how it should happen, but I think he's out to screw Maine over - I'm pretty convinced at this point.
