The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
1) Bob Norton needs to be fired - or banned from calling any Maine games. Period. It's obvious that he has no interest in being anything close to a "fair" game.
2) The refs are out of hand. Any hit - period - is being called. 23 penalties in the first 11 minutes of the game is complete bull****.
3) Not that we can see anything - because the camera can't keep up.
According to Hanagan, the only *blatantly* bad call in all that garbage was that Cornell's hip check somehow got whistled for tripping. Very choppy game.
Bene has to be the star of the show. Fyrer calls everything and then has to chase his bad calls with more bad ones to try to keep things even.
I'll give Bene props for a decent game @ BU last night though.
There were more PIMs in the Maine-Mack game last night (55) than there were in the other 3 games combined (32) (UNH/BU 18, PC/Lowell 12, UMass/BC 2)
And with 34 already tonight, there are more in both Maine-Mack games than there were in the other Friday night QFs combined.
Bunyon called 26 in the BU/UNH game this afternoon so its possible this won't happen again. But at this rate? I mean last night was aided by Swaverly's 15. This is an absurd number of minor penalties.
Maine's power play has to get off its azz sometime in this series. 0-6 now? Not good.
