Harvard @ RPI, Saturday, 12/5/15

Re: Harvard @ RPI, Saturday, 12/5/15

Given the way the refs have been thus far, any sort of a hit will be called a penalty...

Actually there have been a few really solid hits w/o time in the sin bin...which is the way it should be IMO.

Thought we might go an entire period without anything on the reset, but alas, pass-pass-turnover time.

Re: Harvard @ RPI, Saturday, 12/5/15

Good think we have a goaltender who can handle most of what Harvard is throwing at him. Our defense simply c nnot. We are beaten to most pucks in our own zone and we do not have the ability to clear the puck past the blue line. Harvard has our defense's number and it is only a matter of time. They simply are taking too long to figure out what they need to do to rush up the ice or clear the zone.
We have a had a few chances but being out shot 20-7 indicates just how much trouble we have had getting up ice. Whoever is dropping the puck on face offs has me totally confused and the players a bit out of sync.

Shots were 20-7 in Harvard's favor. We settled down somewhat considering there were 10 in the first 5 minutes. We still are giving up too many odd man rushes and point blank shots.

What Doc said. ;)

I just think teams have figured out what our defense is capable of and what their weakness is. Dartmouth did it to us yesterday and Harvard did it last week and have been even better at it tonight.

A good bench coach has a plan B and can make adjustments. It's just a matter of time before we get scored on. Dreaded second period is coming up, after all, and we gave up three on this team that period.
