Harvard @ RPI 11/22/19 The Crimson at the Cherry and White

DrDemento

I Still bleed RPI Red
Another of those games no one wants to start the thread - I suppose the top starters of threads only like to start those that we are the favorite. We are a fairly big underdog tonight but we can take a big step up and win this one. Go RED!!!!

You got up pretty early today. I thought that I was early enough to start this thing.
I will be out of town tonight and tomorrow, so I won't be posting either game. I do hope to get a chance to watch at least part of the games.
It will be a tough test tonight, but I think if we can keep the goals against down to two, we have a chance.

Maybe Jenny should have started the thread then. At least she has a .500 record... :)

And we are 1-1-2 in our last 4 home games against Harvard including a 4-0 win when they were the #2 team in the country.

I never would want to jinx the team and I am very superstitious. In 1984-85 I wore the same sweater to each and every game starting with the Yale game on November 30th which we won. Jen and i attended each and every game after that including all the road trips. Packed it away after the season but brought it back out in 1995 for Lake Placid at the Colgate game (at which we were an underdog) and wore it then and the next day for Princeton. Perhaps I need to see if i can find it and dust it off for this year??
I normally will only start one of these threads if no one else has by the time I clock in or if I have a winning streak going. Otherwise am very happy to leave it to anyone who wants to post earlier.

I think the two 'Special K's' on defense are going to turn out to be rather formidable for us for as long as we can keep them in Troy. If the pipelin has some scoring coming (as it appears it does with Finn), perhaps we are seeing the awakening of the Beast of the East

Finn is the only one that seems to be a scorer, and he gets most of his goals by positioning himself around the net. Will he be able to that against d-men as large as himself? I would like to see him spend a year in the USHL, but we may indeed have to enroll him next fall if we want to keep him. (McIsaac did some scoring when he moved to Brooks but has cooled off recently.)

If we even pull off a tie tonight, that'd be a positive in my eyes

Have we lost Klee? He doesn't appear in either the lineup or the scratch list.
Then again, errors of that type are not unique.
