Harvard & Dartmouth @ RPI & Union (11/7, 11/8)

Re: Harvard & Dartmouth @ RPI & Union (11/7, 11/8)

Offer her some Pup-Peroni.:)

Some WHAT?!

Usually I try to take her to Notty Pine before the game. Couldn't do it last time because we had a kid in tow. No, I am not the father, and she is not the mother. ;)

Ralph, I'd be happy to come talk again on Saturday, but only if Dude isn't with you.

Zoiks! Faceoffs really need to be addressed during this week’s practices..... Stevens recorded 18 saves for Union. The Dutchmen outshot Rensselaer, 35-27, in the game, and held a 40-13 advantage in face off wins. http://rpiathletics.com/news/2014/11/1/MHOCK_1101140339.aspx

How long have we been pointing that out? Those face off losses have already cost us this season and if not improved upon will rear up and bite us again.

Oh! I thought that he was writing that the Notty Pine didn't allow goats in, even if they are on leashes. ;)

I'm sure if someone had brought a goat into HFH, people would have talked about that instead of being shut out. We did take in part of a soccer game beforehand, though, and that may be common in some countries. :p

How many draft picks does Harvard have? 7? 8?

Harvard has 11

http://collegehockeyinc.com/pages/nhl-draft-picks-playing-college-hockey

Sean Malone Harvard BUF 2013 6 159
Patrick McNally Harvard VAN 2010 4 115
Wiley Sherman Harvard BOS 2013 5 150
Merrick Madsen Harvard PHI 2013 6 162
Jimmy Vesey Harvard NSH 2012 3 66
Brian Hart Harvard TB 2012 2 53
Petr Placek Harvard PHI 2011 6 176
Alexander Kerfoot Harvard NJ 2012 5 150
Max Everson Harvard TOR 2011 7 203
Steve Michalek Harvard MIN 2011 6 161
Colin Blackwell Harvard SJ 2011 7 194

We are about the same average age. 21.2 vs 21.3

They are big, top 5 in height and top 8 in weight, have good experienced upperclassmen. No extraneous issues ... top new AHC.

I see them as being very strong in the second half of the season. This team is going to be much improved over last year. Interesting that Harvard President was at first game ..... administrative visibility.

Our advantage is that we have 8 games under our belt playing against some tough teams and will be playing at home. We may be in better physical shape. We should expect, as with everyone we play this year, to see them at their best.
