Play by play started right after I posted so hopefully the rest of the game should be OK.
Kind of reminds me of the British disc jockey who, back in the late '60's or early '70's (whenever the song was on the charts) locked himself in his control booth and played "Winchester Cathedral" endlessly all day long. As I recall, he was unemployed immediately thereafter.

After 2 Wisconsin has twice as many shots on goal
I also noticed that Wisconsin seems to be winning most of the faceoffs although I did not keep count. Not looking good!!

That's astonishing. I've never seen a great team that's as bad on faceoffs as the Badgers are. Three years ago I just assumed that they were trying to lose offensive zone draws so they could set up their forecheck.

Harvard really needed that one at the end of the 2nd, but they couldn't convert. It'll be extremely difficult for them to score two in the third against a very solid defensive Wisconsin team. Not impossible by any means, but I agree with Veritas that it's not looking good.

Wisconsin fan here to say that while I think the Badgers were the better team on the ice tonight, they were also clearly the luckier team. A couple pucks bounce 'the other way', and the outcome could have been very different. Congrats on a really good effort.

Yes, but if the puck bounces slightly differently off the ice on that amazing save, Harvard buries the rebound.

That wasn't the only one, either. There was a scramble in front of Rigsby in the 2nd period where somebody ends up laying on the puck...and then the faceoff is outside the blue line?!? A Harvard player is laying on the puck? In-close hand pass? The Harvard bench got a long if not necessarily good explanation. Me, I have no idea.

Harvard definitely had enough really good chances to win the game. There were at least three from very close range that just missed the net, plus the huge save and a couple of loose pucks in the crease that could have easily been poked in. They sure made a game of it after having played so poorly in the 1st period (when the Badgers could have just as easily scored several more themselves).

What a game! Looking forward already to the next Badger-Crimson tussle....how about next year?
Wisconsin's players are superb, so best of luck to them in the rest of the tourney.
