Any speculation on why RPI would have called a timeout in the middle of the second period while leading 2-1? :confused:

We had just been called for an icing, but were spending a lot of time in our zone, and Kurt said our D looked confused. My guess is that in addition to letting the guys have that extra rest, Appert wanted to take the opportunity to remind them of how they played yesterday, and tell them to start doing that again. Or something like that.

Not the best period, but at least we didn't give anything up. I would call that a positive second period.
We have to get energized for the third period.
It would be really nice to score more than two goals in a game.

Nice to have a weekend where the refs just did not call everything in sight and affect the play. Got to hope we get 20 minutes where they don't change that strategy.

It's amazing how much Placek sounds like Polacek when you're only half paying attention and didn't realize such a player existed.
