Correction: It's the 800th anniversary of the first draft to the document, and it was largely a failure in prevent civil war between King John and his barons. And I say largely a failure only because it was pretty much a complete failure. It took a solid 80 additional years for the document to truly mean something within English law, and by that time it was heavily revised.
