Neither could the officials looking at the replay. (I was sitting 3 rows behind the penalty box where the monitor was located.)well what does anyone think about the no goal call??? I couldn't see the puck for shit???
I see a lot of Pioneer fans fans showed up.A good showing by Hamilton supporters, including the guy who lives across the street from me who was sitting across the aisle from me (in, I might add, my regular season ticket seats!).
On the broadcast they mentioned that the refs had access to the overhead view but they "couldn't show it" on the broadcast. They have the overhead camera for the AHL games. Don't know if it was used.
The broadcast does not have access to the overhead replay; the referees do at ice level. It appeared to me that they had a view along the goal line, but not from overhead. But they may have had one, I just didn't see it being shown.
I was looking at the replay officials screen from about 3 rows away. I was told that they did have the overhead view, however I did not see it on their screen. The broadcast does not have access to the overhead replay; the referees do at ice level.
Or maybe they don't! I was told they had overhead at ice level, but you could see what they were looking at--and you may indeed be right.I was looking at the replay officials screen from about 3 rows away. What did YOU see? WE were on the far side of the rink.Holy cow Aurora got screwed. On no planet is that not a goal.
Just to be clear. I only saw the screen a short period of time during that time. I now have no doubt that they did have the overhead shot to look at. I was told by somebody who ran over to look at the screen that it did not clearly show if the puck went into the glove.Or maybe they don't! I do know w/ 100% certainty that the broadcast does not have access to any overhead looks.
