Gwoz Resigns from DU?

Do you recognize the difference between taxpayer funded entities and private entities? While it might be nice for DU to justify their decision to the public they have absolutely no requirement to do so. It's their business and their business only if that is what they choose. DU fans or college hockey fans in general are not owed anything from the university.

There is however one source from which they could get the answers. George Gwozdecky. Why is nobody "pressuring" him for the answers to these questions? He is certainly free to explain his perspective. Did anyone ask him these questions during his press conference? Where is his agent? Perhaps he also doesn't want to divulge certain things? Is not that the same situation as the university choosing to keep their reasoning private?

Non-disclosure (NDA) could also be part of his contract. It's quite common these days.

Smart to stay on the high road and be water under the bridge quiet. Its a small world and no point stirring the pot and alienating anyone in the college athletics community and hurting the prospect of a job down the road.

Of course he could stir the pot and become a studio analyst for NBCSN during their college coverage in the coming season.

Sir, with all due respect, the school should explain their position. Are you the kind of person that doesn’t want to ask the tough questions of people in authority? They have said zip...zilch. Everything, I have read from the Denver Post to CHN has said the response from the officials at the school have been insufficient. Challenge the status quo man. Do you really think that the cone of silence is acceptable? Again, season tix holders, supporters, etc. should hear what the school has to say. The lack of even of a “we wish Gwoz well, moving in another direction type” of response speaks of either incompetence or stonewalling. To me it looks like both. If you’re an AD you should be able to spin this in some coherent way. Your anti-Gwoz bias is showing. More information is better, not less.

This is legalistic. DU fans who pony up the $$$$$ deserve to know. Why do you condone them hiding what happened? Gwoz went out and gave the non response response. You mean no one at that school can spin this matter.

Ohhhhhh ... I see. So it's all good for one party in the former relationship to say nothing about it. But if the other party does the same for the same reasons then they aren't being forthcoming. Gwoz says nothing and there are "reasons". DU says nothing and they are "unreasonable".

Gotcha.

Gwoz had a press confernce. This is just factually wrong. Hyphenated AD cancels radio appearance, apparently she was going to speak but didn't...why? My opionion they (DU) have an undefenseable position. Just sayin.
