Gwoz Resigns from DU?

Re: Gwoz Resigns from DU?

I heard he requested higher dashers so he could better yell at the officials and DU said no.

Re: Gwoz Resigns from DU?

He's just freeing himself up in case his dream job opens up. ;)

Re: Gwoz Resigns from DU?

He just wants to coach in an elite conference like the B1G, one step closer... :)

Re: Gwoz Resigns from DU?

BA "not a hockey guy" has to at least be thinking a bit.

Might already be in the works. The next 24-48 will be telling.

Barry may not be a hockey guy, but he's a $ guy and the attendance issues must be on his mind. This little trip to the NCAAs will have no effect on attendance next year.

Hiring a well known (in hockey circles) successful coach is probably a good play regardless of how the team bounced back this year.

Sure, I'm probably off my rocker, but I won't be shocked if this comes to pass.

Didn't he turn that job down last time it was open? Or was he not offered it?

Of course, being happy in current job vs not being happy can make an awfully big difference.

I thought he wasn't offered it, hence the saying that "Wisconsin had their chance" or something to that effect.

Re: Gwoz Resigns from DU?

He's coming to Maine, from what I've heard. They finally finished the evaluation, and Whitey got the ax.

Re: Gwoz Resigns from DU?

He was forced out according to Mike Chambers for lack of success in the NCAA's. What a joke.
