I think the worst thing of all would be waiting this out until December like in 2000, because if it somehow ends up in the Supreme Court, we all know what that means. It won't matter if there are no legal reasons to back up a challenge. republican justices do not need the law. If we're going to lose, just get these counts done by tonight and be done with it.

It is possible.

I wont quit reading and watching because I love it too much. But my faith in the American system is all but shot because of the selfishness of half the country. Ultimately, barring him going true Hitler for the most part everyone I know will be fine. Unless he tanks Social Security and then my parents are screwed. Thankfully we live in a Blue State...even if our State Leg is filled with derp.

This is out of our hands, if this is what the people want this is what they get. Not sure why you would want to elect a President actively trying to kill you but some people are just dumb.
 
I think the saddest thing about all of this is a Biden win is really kind of a small ask. Him winning won't cure 95% of what is wrong with this country. But Biden losing will put the final nail in the coffin.

I think a 2016 recount in WI changed the totals by fewer than 200 votes. I doubt there has ever been a recount that changed a win of 20,000 votes. I think trump asked for it because since the total was under 1% all he had to do was ask.

Exactly. When Minnesota had to do a recount on Al Franken's Senate election awhile back I think the recount changed the number, statewide, by less than 100 votes.

My only concern is that they've somehow fucked up spoiled ballots. If they do a recount, do they compare mail to in person one final time?
 
Things I've concluded thus far:

1. OH has done the inverse VA and is now a red state. You don't easily come back from Trump +8.

2. Regardless of this year's outcome, AZ, TX, NC, and GA look to become swing states for the next 10-20 yrs as the nat'l demographic shift continues.
 
No matter how this plays out the vote totals show almost half this country is completely fcuked. They have quit on America.

Yes Kepler that many. A pandemic, dead economy, higher turnout and declining world standing could not lower their totals. (They went up) This is no longer just the 37%.
