You can avoid the media and watch the NHL Network replay later on in the evening. Dunno what time (last night they showed the Czech game at 6).

Here's the update with TV on Saturday night at 7/8pm:

FOX Sports North: Minnesota Wild
FOX Sports North +: Minnesota Timberwolves
FOX Sports Detroit: Detroit Red Wings
NBC Sports: Notre Dame @ Boston College
CBS Sports: College Basketball - Harvard @ Rice
ESPNU: College Basketball - Indiana State @ Evansville
FCSA: Anchorage @ Wisco
FCSC: College Basketball - Texas A&M @ Oral Roberts
FCSP: College Basketball - Eastern Kentucky @ Southern Illinois

So basically, every network that broadcasts college hockey is broadcasting live content that night. There is one network left that officials are working to finalize details to broadcast the Minnesota 7/8pm Saturday night game. Will be announced ASAP.

Regardless, although Minnesota does not typically video stream their games, they will be streaming all 4 this weekend on www.GopherSports.com.

Skate with the Greats...outdoors! These "Skate with the Gophers" are always fun and well worth it especially with this lineup (recommended...even if you can't skate well). Had a blast several years ago at Mariucci, skating and talking with Thomas Vanek and Paul Martin.

That other network was the Big Ten Network:

Minnesota announced that the 7 p.m. central game on Saturday night will be broadcast nationally on BTN and streamed on BTN2Go.com

Regardless if Minnesota wins or loses tomorrow night, they will play at 7 central/8 eastern on the Big Ten Network. That means if Minnesota loses, the championship game will be played at 4/5 on Saturday without TV coverage.

How many schools could get last minute national coverage?

This is a win on many levels. We U MN fans get a chance to see the Gophers...college hockey fans from around the country can get their fix. Imagine if your a bored Islanders fan on Long Island and you see a #1 vs. #2 hockey match up on Saturday night?

It also helps keep the Classic in demand for other programs. What school wouldn't want a good chance to have their school televised nationally playing in the state of MN?

Having said that, gophersports has BTN listed...but the game is not listed on BTN or BTN2GO sites yet.

Yeah, noticed that too. I'm sure they will update BTN2Go and the Guide for TV shortly. I noticed they have the UW women's basketball game scheduled on the BTN right now. I live in WI. I hope they bump that crap to BTN2Go and show the Gopher game here.

Answer to your other question - Few, if any, other programs. It's great to be a Gopher puck fan :D

Would love to see them in the lineup Saturday night, or just bring them straight to Mariucci from the airport tonight.

I'm a bored Islander fan, but watching a consolation game will be even more boring. Time to dust off the Slapshot DVD!!

Yup. The game exposed some flaws. The forwards scored one goal and it was a slapshot from the point. One can talk til we're blue in the face about the Gophers defense...but when the team short circuits, its invariably due to disappearing forward production.
