Going to Pittsburgh

Re: Going to Pittsburgh

Jen and I walked to Pamela's for breakfast. Long walk, but worth it. It's muggy out today.

Jen or Jenna? I thought I saw Jenna in the lobby... I thought I saw you after our game... a ways after our game... in the walk way into 120-122 talking to two other BU people.

I did the other one... Deluca's. if i wasn't going straight to the UML pre-game I would have brought the rest home.

Weekend's not over. More to do, more people to meet. Etc. UMLFan, myself, and another are about to head out... probably church brewery but don't get the farm on it.

Re: Going to Pittsburgh

We were there between game, talking wild pgb-ohio, mel, CraigP, and TBA. It was good to see all of them again.

So Saturday, same spot between first and second period so that wT can be there.

I think I figured out where you guys were VERY late... bunch of cornell people too?

I'm a little worried - and not just because I am sitting in a train station in Cleveland at 4AM. When I was waiting in the Pittsburgh station who should walk in but my friend from BC. I obviously made an impression because he didn't seem to remember me from the other day. He got on the train behind me but he isn't in the station here. Wonder if he fell asleep and missed his stop....

Re: Going to Pittsburgh

There's parking where the Igloo once stood, as well as a parking garage at Chatham Center, both right across the street from Consol.
Wound up at a large ramp on Forbes. As an outsider, I'd call it the "Duquense Ramp." It was an easy two block walk to Consol. I presume that's a different location than Chatham Center. But they matched the $20 rate on Thursday, and only charged $10 on Saturday. Again, thanks for pointing me in the right direction, and mentioning the market rate for close-in parking.

FWIW, we parked downtown and walked across the Clemente Bridge for Friday Night Baseball. Also worked very well.

Confidential to the Q fans on the bridge Friday: Love the enthusiasm! But I guess on Saturday all of us found out that Yale most certainly does NOT "blow." ;)

We did the same (the walk across the Bridge for the game, I mean; we were staying downtown). Great way to arrive at a game, IMO, especially with the bridge blocked of to cars and open for foot traffic.

Glad it all worked out for you. It was a great three days. I'm sure I saw a lot of posters, if only I knew who you were! :D

I spent most of Thursday in the media room, but when we walked around the concourse it was fun seeing all of the team wear. Even saw a few Penn State ones, but I was hoping to see more.

I think a lot of the posters have already met enough people so there isn't an active desire for a poster pow-wow. I am really energized after this frozen four and I wish I had met more people... And yet I still met a fair number.

Well, we met between games on Thursday, and we met between the first and second period on Saturday. So we still meet- about the same number as years past, and interestingly enough, mostly the same people- craigP, wT, TBA, myself, pgb-ohio, mel- I met pricless for the first time. I know its hard to butt into discussions- I'm terribly shy. But knowing wT and pgb beforehand helped a lot.
