A possible reason for Jade Helm... http://www.express.co.uk/news/weird...asteroid-wipe-out-mankind-September-Jade-Helm

All of a sudden, I have an Aerosmith song stuck in my head. And Ben Affleck still needs acting school.

How have the conspiracy nuts not yet gotten over the LHC causing a black hole underneath the Earth's surface? they've run tests and no black holes have developed. The crud these people spew forth in order to work themselves into furors just gets more and more ridiculous. The confluence of events that would need to occur for what they've put out there on that crap site is literally astronomical, and yet they're saying that it's happening with the certainty of a betting that a politician is corrupt.

ETA: I'm just glad that we now have a set of dates so you can lay this trash to rest. Well, sane people would lay it to rest. Okay, sane people would've never touched it to begin with, so there's that too, I suppose.

My favorite Comment on that story:

Great news, I can tell the wife I'll start the redecorations in October. Just have to keep her from reading this story now.

If they wanted to create a black hole, that's what the pyramids were designed to do. There are a couple key pieces missing; just put those back where they were. Of course if you do that, I'm sure there are troops on the other side that would make Jade Helm look like the US under the Articles of Confederation.

Who wants to set the pool for the data FlagDUDE ends up in the sanitarium? There's gotta be a way we can Vegas-out these odds and get the over-under.

You just knew this was going to be "one of those" articles for Pat when he cited Ann Coulter as an authority on the subject.

the more I read about the wholesale theft of Office of Personnel Management data, the more disturbing it becomes. calling it a "hack" is far too much an understatement, this is close to an act of war. Imagine if a team of commandos had broken into the personnel office and drove away with all the file cabinets, would the media be so complacent? :(

You're way, way behind the times then. Cyberwar were declared a while ago.

The US, PLA Unit 61398, the Russian government, and Siberian speed freak hackers have been in a 4-way round-robin cyberwar since before 9/11. Israel's the yapping dog nipping at all our heels. For, ahem, commercial reasons...

This could be the Neocons' second-worst nightmare.

(The worst would be Israel.)

I think most are in favor of healthy borders. Although states along the Mexican borders should be carrying a significant amount of the financial burden for financing it...just as northern states carry the financial burden of cold winters. Don't expect us to have much sympathy for states that tout sunshine, no taxes and then complain that that the rest of the country needs pay their way.

But the problem with the article is not the point of arguing for defended borders...but rather the point of arguing for the defense of racism as the rationale. And yes, referencing Coulter is the first clue.

Borders are an national responsibility, or at least they were under previous administrations. Maybe we should fund relief efforts like Hurricane Sandy, given that at least some of us don't get hurricanes. That's silly of course, just as border states having to pay for border security (and all the other attendant costs) is silly. Winter weather is hardly analogous to border security. Winter weather is more analogous to summer weather, where those of us in warmer climates deal with toasty hot summers, you northerners deal with cold winters, of course.
