So our "allies" in the Middle East cut ties with Qatar because of ties to terrorism or some such nonsense and yet we still decide to go through with selling them fighter jets?

It was a bad idea for Obama to authorize the sale in the first place and it is beyond idiotic to let it go through now. You just undermined Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain and Egypt.

Even stranger is supposedly Trump was on board with the Saudis blackballing Qatar because it gets in Iran's grill. It's a continuation of us decimating the population of Yemen to warn off the Ayatollah and the Ruskies because, heh, what could go wrong? (The latter gamesmanship, BTW, was started under the Prince of Peace, Obama. Plenty of guilt to go around on this one.)

We have a military base in Qatar. If we want to keep the base, we supply Qatar with our equipment that's now one or two generations old. Thus will it ever be so long as our military is globally based.

So we support (and applaud) our allies for blackballing Qatar but we sell them weapons that effectively make the actions of our allies worthless. Our policies in the Middle East are so ridiculous it defies imagination.

It's even worse, since the arms sales are written off by Treasury as cancelled out by oil import costs. In effect, Boeing and Lockheed and the Saudi and Qatari royal families get paid (private profit) by increasing the national debt on the American taxpayer (public cost) where all the deals are brokered by the same international financial entities that own Congress. Meanwhile, the wealth and weapons are used by the Arab juntas to keep their sharia dictatorships strangling their citizens, which provokes terrorist attacks which are then the pretext to tightening the screws further on privacy and militarizing law enforcement there and here.

This is not democratic government. It's neo-feudalism, and the labor you owe the lord is the portion of your wages that goes to pay the wealthy's bills.

Edit: It sounds like this might be a sort of revenge form of terrorism. Sounds like it was a van that ran into a crowd outside a mosque.

Something tells me we'll see political advantage being taken from this, just like 9/11 and Sandy Hook.

And if it is right wing, and seeing how some of the wackos think I'm this representative of the right wing so I might as well do something to deserve the title I do not avow, I'm going to condemn this attack. For months, the globalist media and and conspirators have fueled the left and their hatred for specific representations of populist ideologies (e.g. Brexit, Trump) in order to provoke a war. I am disgusted to see anyone give in to the manipulation wrought by this true evil of our society, and only further divides the populace by accentuating the disagreements. This is why we need to have nations, states, and tribes: Populations are able to freely exist in peace, there can be debates of disagreement without territorial annexation, and assimilation is not used as a weapon to lose one's identity or thoughts.

Wow.

One person is dead and at least eight others are wounded in the London neighborhood of North Islington, where a 48-year-old man plowed his van into a group of Muslim worshippers outside a local mosque and Islamic community center early Monday morning. The attack is being treated as a case of terrorism by London police.

In the chaotic aftermath of the violence, Imam Mohammed Mahmoud reportedly leapt into action, urging the injured and angry worshipers to remain calm and shielding the alleged attacker from the furious crowd until police could detain the man.

Speaking with Sky News, one witness explained that “The leader of the mosque said ‘You do not touch him.’ He was sitting and holding him like that, people kept holding him.”

In another interview with Sky, Muslim Welfare House CEO Toufik Kacimi was more direct in his appraisal of Imam Mahmoud’s actions.

“Our imam, Mohammed Mahmoud, went there and saved him,” Kacimi said. “He saved his life basically.”

Meanwhile, back home in ol' Virginny.

A 17-year-old Muslim girl identified as Nabra was kidnapped and beaten to death early Sunday morning in Sterling, Virginia. She was reported as missing at roughly 4 a.m. and now police believe they have found her body in a pond.

According to BuzzFeed, Nabra was headed to Dulles Area Muslim Society (ADAMS) Center with friends at 3:30 a.m. They had taken a break from prayers in order to eat and, having done so, were returning to the Center. But before they arrived, two men with baseball bats emerged from a car and began attacking them. Everyone in the group fled to safety, or so they thought at the time.

When the friends reassembled, they realized Nabra was nowhere to be found.

“They all dispersed after the incident, and when they met back up they realized she was missing,” ADAMS board member Rizwan Jaka told BuzzFeed.

At approximately 3 p.m. officers found the body of a female they believe to be Nabra in Sterling, Virginia. They have yet to confirm her identity.

“Our detectives are fairly certain that it is her,” Fairfax police spokesperson Tawny Wright told BuzzFeed. “But the Chief Medical Examiner still needs to conduct an autopsy to confirm the identity.”

Police believe that the body they found was assaulted—and a baseball bat was located near the scene.

Is that the one where they arrested the dude a bit later (for driving suspiciously near the scene) cause if so that guy looks like a serial killer.
