I've seen it done here in some WNY youth organizations. And not just with hockey.

Yes it’s done locally here for soccer as well. I understand why and I guess you don’t make it to all the games and that’s that.

This is the fun time of the year when my son and I get to work at the summer hockey camp circuit. Always such a good time hanging out together and seeing what programs are making progress with youth girls hockey! The growth of it over the past few years has really been something to see.

This is exciting for girls hockey in Cleveland. Sucks they were disqualified at first but now that’s been fixed. I love when you can literally see the legacy of the Team USA success (these kids were 5 when US when Olympic gold) combined with the grassroots efforts of several years.

This is going to help their development so much and they will love being on a girls team that plays locally.

This made me tear up in a good way. $300 k investment in girls hockey coming to Pittsburgh from the NHL IGF. I love the acknowledgement of the Pittsburgh Pennies and that they are adding an all girls learn to play program among other efforts.

Truly heartwarming to see a program like the Pennies called the pioneers, and todays kids the legacy.

a three minute feel good news story about a business in Cleveland that is providing a ton of girls hockey skills programming. It is awesome to have a group whose full time job is hockey, taking an interest in nurturing the girls side of the sport.
