Re: Ginding away- stop putting sand in my oil... Part 4

Ok, I figured it out. I'm getting unsubscribed from all threads I post in from my phone. Jeebus USCHO Mobile blows some serious ***.
Don't use the mobile site.....I never have that problem, using the standard site with my phone.

Re: Ginding away- stop putting sand in my oil... Part 4

Huh. Then I have no idea. I just know the standard site works with my phone, which is a Droid Razr Maxx.
I have a razr. Not Maxx. If I look at any thread it disappears off my subscriptions. I suppose I could lurk without signing in but I just wait until I am on my laptop when I get home.

The Razr and the Maxx should be the same, just with different batteries. It must have to do with the mobile browser we're each using. I'm using Google Chrome as a browser.

This site has been going down the tubes for the past few years. I can't even turn off the mobile site on my phone without jailbreaking it and faking my user agent. What a massive pile of crap.

I can view the standard site on my phone as well (changed when I upgraded to ICS). Maybe it's a problem with the iPhone....

I use the regular internet browser that came with the phone.

I had that problem with the safari browser, problem went away when I switched to the chrome browser.

Re: Ginding away- stop putting sand in my oil... Part 4

The lack of Spring-like weather is starting to irk me... So far had all 5 of my High School baseball games axed this season... Would have really liked to have that $270 coming my way

Not holding my breath for later this week or next week either... Thursday will be dry but only 35*F with wind and then next week is looking somewhat wet and in the low 40s... Personal best is 6 consecutive games cancelled... We're gonna try and get the record here methinks...

Also not liking the idea of the schools getting antsy and probably "forcing" a game down the road... Working on sloppy fields sucks....

Re: Ginding away- stop putting sand in my oil... Part 4

I get really angry when I see people driving, especially on the highway, when they haven't cleared the snow off the roof of their car first. Saw one numbskull motoring along the other day with a steady spray of snow trailing out behind him/her for hundreds of feet. They could cause an accident that way.

Oh, was I tempted today....I wanted to pull in front of a person driving like this, and then slow down real fast so that they'd be forced to brake suddenly, so that the snow would slide off the roof over their windshield. then they'd have to clean it off. the prospect of my prank causing them to lose control and swerve off the road stopped me though. nice thought anyway.

It would be even funnier if they crashed into you... Especially if they couldn't see....

People who think it's OK to ask someone's weight grind my gears (asking how much weight someone has LOST is different). This question is sort of like... hey, how much money do you make? ummm... none of your ****ing business? is there a planet where it's OK to ask that?

Unless it's your doctor or personal trainer, yeah none of the business.

Outside of a doctor's office, a fitness trainer, or kindergarten, no.

Depending on the person who asked, I'd be tempted to respond something like "I'm weighing what kind of response to your rudeness to give you right now."

We had a weight loss contest at work, and everyone's actual weight was protected with the highest confidentiality available (the contest was based on % loss by team, not on pounds).

You would think that if you had 2 different address for someone, in two different STATES, that you might want to check which is the right address before sending off an important package?

Nope. Have had that problem before, although not the different states bit. On the other side of the state, sure.

Every so often something would end up at my parents, which while an inconvienance wasn't a black hole of nothing-ness that an old address in Iowa is.
