Re: GET IN THE VAN! Michigan Tech 2009-10 Season Thread, Part Deux

For those wondering, CTF is going to Madison. That is all.

Re: GET IN THE VAN! Michigan Tech 2009-10 Season Thread, Part Deux

FML. ctf will now be referred to as John Kerry all weekend.:D

She'll probably find that flattering.

Drive Time this week featured a Jordan Baker interview instead of JR. My notes are as follows:

-No word on his injury
-Questionable for this weekend

-Dirk: "You've been snakebitten..."
-Had what looked like a sure goal last weekend, but Lee made a great save
-"It's tough, but it's part of the game...gotta keep going hard to the net...work hard in practice, start scoring some goals."

-Frustrating to lose leads or go down a goal or two, but captains have to dig in and try to help battle back

-Dirk: Do you like this team? Seems to me there is a lot of potential...
-"We've played some pretty good games, haven't played our best by any means yet. Got a young group of guys...one of the best teams we've had in the time I've been here. Need to show it."

-Recently seeing ice time with Gwilliam and Olson, which he likes
-Favorite Roadtrip: "Denver"
-Favorite Buildings: "The Berry and the DECC"
-Not in awe of the WCHA palaces
-Hardest Hitter: "Kivisto"

-Finally, they played "Dead or Canadian?" with him.
-Hembroff managed to call Howie Mandel a "germ freak"
-Jordan guessed that Richard Nixon was a Canadian (we wish :D)
-In the end, he went 4 for 7

Yes, I, John Kerry/ctf/TB/jailbait, will be coming to Madison.

Well I think we all know what's going to get accomplished this weekend with ctf and I collaborating... Be prepared to find out our final playlist for Tech/Gopher weekend (that I will sadly not be attending :( )

:D

Re: GET IN THE VAN! Michigan Tech 2009-10 Season Thread, Part Deux

I sure hope they start showing it.

Good teams don't get swept on a regular basis.

Tech needs points every weekend.
I hope they can start the preparation for a good GLI by playing TOUGH against Wisconsin and Minnesota.

Save this season by starting this week

Next thing you know, JSR will probably come on and post something like, "Ian Marks was in the studio to strongarm Jordan into making rosy, pro-Russell responses!" ;)

Agreed. It's time they started playing full games, instead of taking an entire period off and then having to try and claw their way back.

Re: GET IN THE VAN! Michigan Tech 2009-10 Season Thread, Part Deux

...is the number worn by John Kivisto?

...is the commonly accepted number of hours in a day?

...is the product of six and four, as well as eight and three?

...is a TV drama that has been beaten to death?

...is a really good instrumental track by Mudhoney?

...is the number of trips that Ken Hitchcock made to the prime rib buffet after his team lost to Chicago last night?

...may be the number of games the Maple Leafs win this season, if they are lucky?

...is the number of games remaining in the season, after which you will accept the fact that Russell isn't going anywhere for the time being?

Inquiring minds want to know! :)

<s>...is the number worn by John Kivisto?</s>
This has nothing to do with John Scott, so he probably doesn't know.

<s>...is the commonly accepted number of hours in a day?</s>
I guess this is a commonly known fact, so he may have meant that.

<s>...is the product of six and four, as well as eight and three?</s>
Too intelligent for him.

<s>...is a TV drama that has been beaten to death?</s>
He lives under a rock, so I doubt that he watches TV.

<s>...is a really good instrumental track by Mudhoney?</s>
WhiskeyTangoFoxtrot??

<s>...is the number of trips that Ken Hitchcock made to the prime rib buffet after his team lost to Chicago last night?</s>
Umm... see above reasoning.

<s>...may be the number of games the Maple Leafs win this season, if they are lucky?</s>
John Scott doesn't play for the Maple Leafs.

<b>...is the number of games remaining in the season, after which you will accept the fact that Russell isn't going anywhere for the time being?</b>
Winner winner chicken dinner.

You forgot the number of beers in a case of beer, which is equal to the number of hours in a day. Coincidence? I think not. :D

This won't be the first time I point out to JSR that "FIRE _______________!!!" commentary is useless until said coach is actually fired, which is a decision that will not be made by any of us.

So again, either contact the actual movers and shakers within the program (all of the major donors), or kindly just zip it until Russell is actually asked to step down.

But I thought spewing out unsolicited opinions via a pseudonym on a message board is how things get accomplished in college hockey?
