Games of 11/8 - WIACing the MIAC. Where Eagles Dare and other games. SCORES!!!

Re: Games of 11/8 - WIACing the MIAC. Where Eagles Dare and other games. SCORES!!!

Final
Hobart 4
Naz 4

Naz 0:15 seconds away from a big victory. Gotta win those if you want to play in the deep end.

Very true.

Not taking anything away from Naz - but I imagine the Statesmen's ride home to Geneva tonight will not be a fun one. I didn't see the whole game, but from what I saw it didn't look like there was anywhere near enough effort on their part tonight. They got beat to loose pucks far too often in that game....and didn't bury their chances.

two power play goals and one short handed, I'll take that for the second game of the season. You all wanted defense you got it :-)

I still have WDEV but no NSN, bummer. I'm disappointed with our power play, anyone else feel the same way?

I'm still not sold on the PP. The 5 minute effort was not very good at all. The 5-3 was almost a gimme. Yes, we got defense, but how much of that defense was because of St. Mike's ineptitude and how much was because NU was good. I did like the fact that the d-men stayed home much better. Whitell, as long as he plays in control has the ability to be a strong offensive defenseman.

(I need to tone myself down a bit - starting to sound too much like an Oswego fan complaining about not beating up enough on somebody

Fixed that for you.

Congrats to freshman goalie, Tony Kujava, on his first collegiate win..

Serious question, after what UWSP did to FU last weekend, is anyone else shocked that SNC didn't put a few more tallies up on the board tonight? I was expecting the "no class" flag to be thrown out. Regardless, looks like Jacobson has someone pushing him this year, a big congrats to Kujava (s/p) on his first Collegiate W.

Make no mistake, Plattsburgh beat a very good Geneseo team last night. The Knights might win 20 games. Cardinals came out flying and controlled the 1st period with a killer shorty with 30 seconds left to make it 2-0. From there it was even with Geneseo really flying at certain times and although they didn't score on their PP they have a real good looking unit. Their trouble might be between the pipes. Good win for the Cards with hard work and especially with a couple of key players (Nick Jensen, Brenton) out.

Next up is a Brockport team who rolled up 6 goals on big Jon Hall in Potsdam. No nights off in DIII hockey.

I felt the same way about UWEC's win over St. Olaf... ;)

Considering that was the Blugolds first game of the season against a team who they only tied a year ago, I'd consider it a success. Not to mention, congratulations to Tyler Green on getting his first win as a Blugold.

A Win is a Win, no matter who you play...margin of victory does not matter...
Both SNC and UW-EC beat teams that are winless so far this season..

Emery said before the game last night that all of his freshman would get a chance to play in the first three games. Anyone think we may see Creech in nets tonight?
