FSU @ Alaska - Freeze the Bulldogs

Re: FSU @ Alaska - Freeze the Bulldogs

Huysmans was called for interference. Though I'm not sure what he did, and it looked like he didnt either. He questioned the call and the ref didnt like that apparently so he gave him a 10 min misconduct. The reason he left the game I assume is because there were less than 10 min left to play. Otherwise he would have sat in the box for that time and finished the game.
So I guess that makes him a quitter.

Scoring the game-winning goal says otherwise. I won't fault him for questioning questionable officiating. It was an "equalizing" phantom call, nothing more. And was right after Larson got hauled down on a massive hook that didn't get called. Honestly, they tried to let them play then kept going back on it.

Re: FSU @ Alaska - Freeze the Bulldogs

Well it looks like Ferris traveled across the country only to play like crap. I hope they come out and squeeze two points out of the weekend. They need it!

As for Ferris being a "goon" crew......... I kind of like it. My guess is they wouldn't play like that if the other team wasn't hooking, grabbing, and being thugs.

Please make all future references to Ferris as "Saint Ferris"................... But I didn't get to watch the game last night............too late for me.

I'm off to purchase a longer ice auger. The ice on the lakes that I fish on is getting close to 4 feet thick. Oh boy I hope spring comes soon....... I'm tired of plowing snow.

Well I hope that its a good game tonight.

Re: FSU @ Alaska - Freeze the Bulldogs

Every time we have that ref, #31, he always seems to try and screw things up. I don't know if he doesn't like the Nanooks or just enjoys not making the calls that need to be called, but he is awful. Does anyone know what Huysmans really did to get the misconduct?? I saw him get pushed a little in front of Motte and he made contact with Motte from that but didn't see anything that constitutes the misconduct.

Glad the Nanooks were able to play above the cheap shots of Ferris for the most part last night. Hard to not retaliate after so many calls not being made. Have a feeling tonight it'll be even more physical tonight from the drop of the puck but would really really love to see the Nanooks play as well as they did last night.

Whine, whine, whine. You're almost as bad as EriK. I guess he already got in trouble once (or more) this season for ragging on the refs while on air. Real classy. Not.

Nope, no whining on this side. Stating facts though, yes.

Re: FSU @ Alaska - Freeze the Bulldogs

There were some cheap shots, as there are in most hockey games. But the referees made it seem worse than it was to those who didnt watch the game. Many of the calls on both teams were dumb. Once they had their little fight it seemed like if a player on either team looked at someone wrong they got a penalty.

That old proverb "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" applies this evening.
Tend to business and kick butt tonight Ferris!

Re: FSU @ Alaska - Freeze the Bulldogs

Good sweep! Glad to see Ferris head back without any points. They're overrated, they haven't beat a quality team all season. They don't deserve to hang another regular season banner in their pathetic little arena.

As for the Nanooks, I hope to see them do well in the post season, especially if they get another chance to pummel Ferris.

I feel the same way. Even though I wanted to see Ferris destroyed tonight in every way possible, I will cheer for them in a heartbeat the next time they play the Seapups.
