I went to a Tigers/Red Sox game there in 1998 and was stunned when I returned in 2005 and saw the stadium still standing, years after it closed. I was hoping to see it again next week. Too bad. It was a great, great ballpark and I was glad to have seen a game there back in the day.

They were just trying to keep up with the rest of Detroit, you know, just adding to the many other abandoned buildings there.
