Frozen Four Minny edition -- who's going?

Re: Frozen Four Minny edition -- who's going?

In 2006 and 2007 I purchased tickets from another poster on USCHO. In 2006 it was a guy who had some family conflict come up - wedding or the like. The next year I bought Scarlet's seats. She ended up with a second set of tickets, or something, down in St. Louis and my buddy and I bought the pair she was selling. She would've hated those seats - surrounded by BC Super Fans.

Re: Frozen Four Minny edition -- who's going?

I buy through the NCAA or through here, or other college hockey contacts I have. Have always had good luck with buying here on USCHO. Just be smart about it; if a new poster with a couple ticket posts is trying to sell, that’s cautionary to me. If it’s someone whose been here since ‘08, posts regularly, etc it would shock me if something was fishy with the tix.

Re: Frozen Four Minny edition -- who's going?

Just buy the **** tickets from the NCAA. I know you're good for it :D

Is there a way to buy the tickets from the NC$$ after the regionals? My impression was they are long gone by then.

For Buffalo I got them from the Cornell allotment because I was still a season ticket holder (only took me 35 years to stop renewing). But now I no longer am, so I am (hopefully) facing the problem for the first time.

I just want to get in the d-mn building. Once inside I can insinuate myself into the Cornell contingent with my olive-oil voice and guinea charm.

People who marry during the NC$$s deserve an empty ceremony.

Ticketmaster?

Re: Frozen Four Minny edition -- who's going?

Honestly, I would think you should be OK just buying from here, Kep. There are usually a good amount of tickets at or below face value, or you could also make a topic in tickets saying you want X tickets, should the need arise. I'd imagine somebody would recognize your name and work with a "known" poster, instead of JoeSchmo.

Oh if they are available yes of course. I would definitely want some USCHOer to have my money before some scalper.

Re: Frozen Four Minny edition -- who's going?

I'd watch a Posters game. As of right now, our plan is to fly, and I don't feel like lugging equipment on an airplane. If we were to drive, I'd be up for playing.

Ewe, I sent you an email about tickets. Hopefully I had the right email address.

I know someone driving that would maybe be willing to cart your stuff, as long there’s enough space in the vehicle, and it’s not too stinky.

Also, we’re going the VRBO route. We rented a really nice house for our party of 7 for ~$2600 for the 31st through the 8th.

Re: Frozen Four Minny edition -- who's going?

Update:

ZERO tailgate options for parking lots nearby. Some are working on it, but it looks slim to none chances. While the GPL group has a fine reputation, other people have pretty much ruined it. On the lots' sides...admit one, have to admit all. No exceptions. :( Still trying to work out stuff, but not looking good.

Re: Frozen Four Minny edition -- who's going?

Tickets on the street going to be cheap. tUMD/SCSU/Minnesota St don't really travel in big numbers, and they don't have the numbers like MN/UND in the metro. There's a chunk, but it's still relatively small.

Re: Frozen Four Minny edition -- who's going?

I'll be there. I'll be wearing something ND on Thursday, and then Saturday apparel will depend on the result of the Thursday game (still ND if ND is still alive knocking on wood, NU otherwise).

Given the teams still alive, I'll just wear random jerseys. AIC, 1980 USSR, Gophers (of course). Depends on my mood. Definitely rocking the GPL baseball cap, though. That'll be my tell. ;) Just look for the skinny tall(er) guy who cusses a lot. :D
