Friday 11/27/09 -- Scores and Updates

Re: Friday 11/27/09 -- Scores and Updates

Baird wins it for CSS with a wrister over the Salem St. goalie's left shoulder...
Off a Dzone turnover that led to a 3x0 and off the far post.

DAMMIT! Well played game by both teams and the officials.

Third post was the charm for CSS. They hit the outside of the near post in the first; outside of the far post in the 3rd, and the inside of the far post in the OT for the winner.

BTW, thanks to Matt Webb and ToeBlakesBrother for the gift basket (a classic!) and the 12 pack of PBR. I'm touched. Now I have to drink it all down.

America is a great country!!

Gang

There are 5 bottles of Point and 8 cans of PBR left. I can't possibly drink it all.

How about, in the spirit of East-West hockey, we finish them off in the parking lot after this afternoon's Salem St. - St. Norbert game?

I don't think that'll be a real problem... even if you are in Minnesota.

You'll have to excuse the western contingent for not thinking 18 beers might be too much beer for two nights for most people that don't live in the region. ;)

Yeah, I learned that when I hung out with Matt and Caveman at Lake Placid last year...

With Potsdam's win, the SUNYAC move to 11-8-1 outside of their conference with wins against Elmira (2), Middlebury, Hobart, Utica (2). Not too bad for a 'mid tier' conference...just saying:D

But remember...according to most...Everyone thinks the SUNYAC sucks after Plattsburgh/Oswego ;)

Re: Friday 11/27/09 -- Scores and Updates

Um..if you're going to talk about the sunyac outside of platty and wego...you *might* want to give the out of conference record excluding those two teams.

Re: Friday 11/27/09 -- Scores and Updates

I thought PoSTdam looked just like they did when I watched them last year. Very good fundamental hockey. They are not flashy, they move the puck well and win battles for it too. It looks like they play the trap too. They made UC's defense look like a joke.

On a side, I still find it hilarious that fans sit and scream "Shoot!" on the PP when there is no good shot, only to complain that "They put it on the goalies pads every time" when the players do take the bad shot."

ok ok....The SUNYAC is 8-7-1 outside of the conference if you take out Platty and Oswego. With wins over Skidmore, Utica, Elmira, and Hobart (and a tie with Hobart)...

I always enjoy that too at hockey games when people yell shoot with both defensive forwards in the line of a potential shot.

Elmira fans are notorious for this. Atleast the ones that sit behind me at the Domes.:)
