Cardwell scores for River Falls to give them a 3-2 lead over Stout with around 6 to play. Looks like Cardwell has the collegiate Gordie Howe hattrick. Goal, Assist, Major Penalty

We know he was there. For that reason alone I am rooting for the Broncos tomorrow, even though it would be better for the Patriots to have Denver lose. I don't understand how that guy has achieved a reputation of being a player of high character. But that's another story altogether.

Actually, Utica's plan was to test the hypothesis that a loss to a unranked team was not as bad as a loss to a ranked team.
How do you go from scoring 4 power play goals last Saturday (OK, two were 5 on 3 goals.......) to giving up two shorthanders this Friday?

Elmira's penalty kill is awful giving up four out of five to Morrisville!
Hopefully they worked on that during the bus ride home!

That is something they need to practice, after all, they love sitting in the penalty box as much as sitting on the bench. It seems they don't like it on the ice, everytime they breakout of the defensive zone, they go for a line change. As much as I like Arron, I think we have a coaching problem.

I asked myself "Gee, should I put "NCAA ranked" in the post just to make sure all everybody knows that I know that at this time nobody is ranked for selection yet and that most very likely Cortland will not be NCAA ranked?" But I figured "no, that's not necessary and it messes up the flow of the thought" ( the joke).
While some of you may not believe it, I (almost ) always think about what I am posting. For instance, just now I asked myself "should I add that it is "Always great when a Plattsburgh fan chimes in to keep us all enlightened" or might that be a bad idea?" I decided "No, I had better not say that at this time as it might cause troubles."

I hope that the Utica players are as upset with themselves as the fans are. If they are, I wouldn't want to be the next team on their schedule. It was just a simple statement because with all the different polls there is confusion on what applies to what!

Geneseo beat Franklin Pierce 4-0 last night. Looked like it was going to be a 10+ goal game for the Ice Knights as they had scored 4 goals through the first 21 minutes of the game. However, the offensive guns went silent. Still another good win and shutout for Brian Haude who has filled in very well since the injury to Adrian Rubeniuk.
