The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
Lot of work goes on behind the scenes to host one of these. Lot of moving parts to try and make a shift to a completely different venue 3 days before the first game is set to begin.
People make holiday plans, leave town etc.
Personally, I’m thankful I’ll be able to still have dinner and have my parents visit from 6 hours away on Friday without having to turn on a dime and head into work.
I’m thankful Middlebury still is going to carry out hosting duties, despite their team not playing in the tournament. First class move by them.
Well played game by Norwich winning 7-0 over MSOE in the first of three games in the First Light Great Northern Shootout. Albano was steller in the night and Ouderkirk and Aubin with 2 goals and 2 assists each. Defense blocked a lot of shots and it was a solid effort by all the Cadets.
Norwich up 2-0 on Power Play goals by Ouderkirk and Nagle. Someone should tell the live stats person they have the teams mixed up, Plattsburg in Gold and winning and Wick in Red and losing. Second Period coming up.
Norwich 5-2 win over Plattsburgh. 3rd period- even strength goal by Elgstam, empty net goal from the defensive zone by Williams and an even strength goal from Swanson. All tourney goalie went to Albano, MVP to Ouderkirk and tourney Rookie went to Kerner. Good game and good tourney. Too bad we couldn't have seen Middlebury play...hope they all recover soon.
