Salem loses and takes a fall. Norwich drops a bit due to weak SOS numbers obtained from playing and beating STM and SNH. Adrian's SOS continues to be a drain on their rating

Very simple 1/2 win and 1/2 loss for each tie thus 8 and 2

Winning those games will give them a big boost in the strength of victory category

...agreed.....these n/c games will provide an opportunity to see how they stack up.......but otherwise the results will be quite meaningless.

The game against Oswego will be meaningless for all intents and purposes, but the games against hamline will matter a ton for NCAA purposes, especially since at this point hamline would be a ranked western team. Obviously they have quite a few games left to play, so that could change though.

Well, regardless of whether Adrian goes East or West (assuming they win the MCHA, the seeding will determine whether they get a home game or a road game in whichever region, because the seedings are also based on the criteria that didn't help Adrian very much in the past. The PWC would come into play if they got paired with either SNC or Oswego, which I see as the most likely pairings because of said 500 mile rule.

You'd probably know better than I what it's like to fail to to get out of your conference. Does your last two years conjure up any memories "irony/controvery" ?

The thought of kicking Oswego's butt on Jan 8th is what gets me all giddy !

Well I certainly wasn't attacking Adrian at all...my apologies if that's what it seemed.

The irony would be that Adrian has been denied a berth into the NCAA field the last two years, and now that they control their own destiny in regards to getting into the field, if they were to fail at that, it would be ironic. The controvery would then involve whether or not Adrian would be deserving of a pool C bid, especially with only 1 or 2 losses on their resume.

The thought of watching Adrian @ Oswego, regardless of result, is what really gets me all giddy.

Adrian will be the #3 West seed at highest (assuming 7-4 again). Only way I see this happening is if they sweep Hamline and the Pipers take the MIAC AQ. Otherwise its #4.

The precedent set by the committee regarding Adrian the previous two years does nothing to indicate Adrian would be seeded any higher. They were undefeated in the region last year and weren't even a ranked team, so I wouldn't expect anything else this time around.

...irony, no doubt....however ,
there will be no Pool C controversy...it will take awhile before two MCHA teams make the tournament
