SNCThe western teams looked BIG, SNC more so than Point, but perhaps geneseo is smaller than Oz or its the jersey colors that made them look smaller.
Interesting corollary; of the 18 years of the RBC Cup, 13 of the champions have been from the Western Canadian provinces, and arguably the two best US JR leagues are predominantly Western phenomena.West > East. It's pretty simple. The best of the west is just flat out better and has been for awhile now. It's nice to see how far the West has come in terms of attracting talent.
agree our special teams have NOT brung it in the past 5 Final fours...see Osego thread. The better team did not win but rather the team with the better special teams did. Most of the shots that W-SP goalie faced were far out wrist shots and we really didn't pound the net. The Lakers had the better chances and couldn't finish. Coach might want to hire a shooting coach. To many opportunities missed. We play a great game and the young men need to be extremely proud of their effort tonight. What really bit the Lakers is what I call the stupid time of a period. That is the last 2 minutes of the period where the Lakers have at times played stupid hockey. Loosing concentration, getting a penalty, letting in a goal, ie the the WSP 1st goal.
For these young men to accomplish what they did this year is just incredible. Not knocking W-SP and congrats to them but the better final would have been Lakers vs the Green Knights. I think Coach C of St. Norbert is giving a bit of a sigh of relief.
If everyone stays health the next 3 years will be some great hockey in Laker Land. Congrats to the Captian Titiantic and Badham for a great run and giving us Laker Fans great memories, and you are now part of the Laker family.
This team can hold their head high and you did the College of Oswego PROUD and the SUNYAC also.

With the exception of a few of the bottom feeders, the hockey in the West is very competitive night after night. It will now be 5 out of the last 7 national champions coming from the West.

I'd disagree, I'd say take out SNC and the east is about on par with the west.
