Final 4....better late than never

Re: Final 4....better late than never

I will be the first to say it---"he's got the moves like Jagger"after that PP.

Re: Final 4....better late than never

Can't exactly say we were outplayed, just couldn't finish... great year, unexpectedly! See ya next year. Congrats, Point.

Re: Final 4....better late than never

We looked like the better team, they had a hott goalie. The way she goes sometimes, looking forward to the next 3 years with these 19 Freshmen

Re: Final 4....better late than never

great game by both teams, very fast and clean.........difference turned out to be special teams....no goal on the 3 on 5 was a killer..special teams :(........Great season for the lakers, looking forward to next yr already.....should be a doooozy tomorrow night.

Re: Final 4....better late than never

Amazed the stats said we had almost 50 shots. Almost all of them came from the perimeter. Point played a real good defensive game in limiting close shots and rebounds and earned a great win. Great job by eddie and the boys.

Re: Final 4....better late than never

I thought Oswego carried the play, based on what parts of the the two games I caught online, SNC was the best team to play today. I will admit I didn't see either game in its entirety though, and I think online loses some of what really is happens.

The western teams looked BIG, SNC more so than Point, but perhaps geneseo is smaller than Oz or its the jersey colors that made them look smaller.

Re: Final 4....better late than never

The better team did not win but rather the team with the better special teams did. Most of the shots that W-SP goalie faced were far out wrist shots and we really didn't pound the net. The Lakers had the better chances and couldn't finish. Coach might want to hire a shooting coach. To many opportunities missed. We play a great game and the young men need to be extremely proud of their effort tonight. What really bit the Lakers is what I call the stupid time of a period. That is the last 2 minutes of the period where the Lakers have at times played stupid hockey. Loosing concentration, getting a penalty, letting in a goal, ie the the WSP 1st goal.
For these young men to accomplish what they did this year is just incredible. Not knocking W-SP and congrats to them but the better final would have been Lakers vs the Green Knights. I think Coach C of St. Norbert is giving a bit of a sigh of relief.
If everyone stays health the next 3 years will be some great hockey in Laker Land. Congrats to the Captian Titiantic and Badham for a great run and giving us Laker Fans great memories, and you are now part of the Laker family.
This team can hold their head high and you did the College of Oswego PROUD and the SUNYAC also.

Re: Final 4....better late than never

West > East. It's pretty simple. The best of the west is just flat out better and has been for awhile now. It's nice to see how far the West has come in terms of attracting talent. With the exception of a few of the bottom feeders, the hockey in the West is very competitive night after night. It will now be 5 out of the last 7 national champions coming from the West.

SNC
Average of 6 defensemen = 5'11 184
Average if 12 forwards = 6'0 192

Doesn't seem unusually big to me. SNC has gone smaller since their earlier years of national championship futility, especially on defense.

Interesting corollary; of the 18 years of the RBC Cup, 13 of the champions have been from the Western Canadian provinces, and arguably the two best US JR leagues are predominantly Western phenomena.

The East was waiting for Utica to ride in and save the day as foretold on this board.....still waiting....waiting.

I'd disagree, I'd say take out SNC and the east is about on par with the west.
