Ferris State University Hockey: 2013-2014 season

I went from cheering to being slumped over in my seat...... back to cheering. I agree that that they didn't play well for large parts of the game, but they did when it counted. They will need to play all 60 minutes if they want to win tonight.

I hope they top 6000 fans tonight. It was still loud last night.

Go Ferris!

Agreed. It would be great to see more fans make it but I must say it was a pretty good atmosphere and a great game last night. Tons of fun.

9 shots through the first period and a half though isn't going to get it done, especially if CJ is having an off night. Let's go Dawgs!

There seems to be some confusion as to TV coverage tonight. FoxSportsDetroit shows the game on, but USCHO and College Hockey News show no TV coverage. Any help is appreciated, as I have to find a bar in Florida, if it's on. And I don't want to PI** off the Bball crowd, unless I have to!

It will be on one of the Fox College Sports channels (I believe Central, but I'm not at home to check my TiVo to be sure).

It wasn't the outcome I wanted but I think there are positives to take away. We were great in the second period but overall MSU was on their game and we couldn't capitalize on the chances we did have (and we had some great ones).

The refs were terrible. There were several obvious hooks that should have been penalties and an assist should go to the ref for MSU's third goal.

Overall it was a fun game to attend (up to the third goal at least), I sat next to some UAA fans who were probably the coolest college hockey fans I've ever met in my life.

Hopefully they can use this as motivation for next weekend. There is a selection show party in town.

Colgate in Cincinnati. 4:30 on Friday. Winner to meet Wisconsin/North Dakota.

Got my ESPN3 ready to go for when I get out of work at 4:30 on Friday. Hopefully, a bar or two in town can handle getting in on a big screen for the fans that don't make the trip. I'd assume they can afford a Chromecast or two.

But you have to have licensing to do that in a public place.

I'll be rooting the Dawgs on from here in Huntsville!

Taking the fan bus to the game. It will be my first time at any NCAA tournament game so I'm excited for the chance to cheer on Ferris at the regional.

Bonus point: It is supposed to be 61 degrees in Cincinnati on Friday.

Only 22 hours till the drop of the puck. It sounds like the flu bug that was floating around is gone. I hope that everyone is 100% by game time. This should be a very close game. 3-2 FSU. Maybe 4-2 FSU with an empty net. I can't get ESPN3 so I will be listening to the radio. However, I like to listen to our guy even when I would watch on America One.

How many Ferris fans are going down? I heard that they had two student buses and a lot of others that are going down. It would be nice to get 1000 FSU fans, but sadly I will not be one of them.

GO FSU!

Need a better effort than last weekend. Need to open up the Gate right off the bat and not get complacent

Re: Ferris State University Hockey: 2013-2014 season

I know we're supposed to hate each other, but this BG fan is pulling for Ferris.

GOOD LUCK!

Re: Ferris State University Hockey: 2013-2014 season

The fan bus is about an hour and a half away from Cincinnati. Lets go Bulldogs!

Only one bus ended up going because they were short about 10 seats on the second but the people on the second ended up carpooling. I'm not sure how many other fans are driving down.

Re: Ferris State University Hockey: 2013-2014 season

Well that was an awkward ending. First time I had a chance to watch them this year (and because of work, I only caught the 3rd). Really liked the defense, thought they did a great job of blocking shots and getting in the way of passing lanes. And Motte looked great. Colgate seemed to be on the attack for almost the whole period, wasn't a fan of that. But a big win for the Bulldogs.

Also, how was the student section? ESPN never showed them when I was watching and I could only faintly hear them, but I wonder how much of that is ESPN's way of wiring the arena. Were they good and loud?
