Ferris @ NMU 1/22... more of 'Diva talking to herself...

Last night's game saw donuts until late in the 3rd, and an OT win for the 'Cats from Jared Brown.
It was apparently one of the best games ever seen at tBerry, at least according to mwellens and various fans.

Radio is here, link to Wildcat Dave on Facebook here, and the Mining Journal's Matt Wellens' Twitter commentary can be found here.

Here's hoping I'm not talking to myself as much tonight, nor am I posting so many pictures of donuts.

Pregame with Walt:
Finally got more out of Brown, Hanson. Did a lot of things that they asked them to, would have been happy even if they haven't shown up on the scoresheet.
Did a lot of mix/match of lines, not letting guys play if they didn't do what they were asked, just hope you don't have too many guys not doing what you want so you have guys to play.
Ferris has an aggressive trap, guys didn't get passes through it. Definitely missed Macaulay, have to adjust better and have better passes and availability on the forwards.
Still trying to not look at day to day standings, but looking at where you are and the games left, and understanding you control your destiny by winning games.
Flo's tying goal could be the biggest goal of the season, comparing it to Butcher's tying goal against Western in '07 that ended that winless skid.

Starting lines (thanks again to Matt Wellens on Twitter!)
Starting lineup for NMU: Nugent-Kaunisto-Kosinski-Epp-Ludwig.
For FSU: Fillinger-Johnston-Demartino-Billins-Redmond.

From CatChat:
Wildcats enter tonight's play in 8th place, but could possibly end the night tied for 4th with a win and some help.

Re: Ferris @ NMU 1/22... more of 'Diva talking to herself...

Ferris is 11-11-4 on the year, 8-9-3-2 CCHA
NMU is 10-11-4 overall, 8-7-2-0 CCHA

Miller/Hall are refs, Tunison/Poliski(sp?) linesmen, Dave sang their praises last night, hopes things stay the same tonight.

Re: Ferris @ NMU 1/22... more of 'Diva talking to herself...

Cherny is back tonight, Johnson is out for NMU. Andrew Huff replaced by Garrett Thompson tonight for Ferris.

Still scoreless, early 1st.

Re: Ferris @ NMU 1/22... more of 'Diva talking to herself...

Go NMU! Knock Ferris out of the Pairwise! :D

Re: Ferris @ NMU 1/22... more of 'Diva talking to herself...

16:30 left in the 1st, still 0-0. This game is looking just as even as last night's.

Re: Ferris @ NMU 1/22... more of 'Diva talking to herself...

Brown and Kosinski both getting good chances, still scoreless.

Re: Ferris @ NMU 1/22... more of 'Diva talking to herself...

From Matt Wellens on Twitter: "Ellingson skated all the way out to top of the right faceoff circle to play a puck, then lost stick, makes a save. #uglybuteffective #ccha"

Re: Ferris @ NMU 1/22... more of 'Diva talking to herself...

Hanson going off for interference at 8:51. NMU 10th on the PK in the league (77.7%, 1 SHG)
Ferris PP is 14/101, 5 SHG allowed.

Re: Ferris @ NMU 1/22... more of 'Diva talking to herself...

SO many good chances for Ferris, but finding no twine. From Twitter: Ferris stick snaps during the PP, nearly clears the net and into stands, stays in play, no one hurt.
