Fenway Freeze Out: New Hampshire Vs. Northeastern

Re: Fenway Freeze Out: New Hampshire Vs. Northeastern

Although, I think you are more optimistic than I about how many BU/BC fans will show up for the early game instead of drinking an extra 2 hours before heading to the park.

Now mention "WOMENS HOCKEY" to the average "fan," and at best you'll get an uninformed reply about why they don't like it (having never seen it), and at worst you'll receive a diatribe about how they'd rather watch peewee sled hockey than women's hockey.

This was the only damper on last night for me. I'm sure that the game was memorable for the players involved, but to think it could have been so much better in front of tens of thousands of fans. As fans trickled in towards the end for the men's game, we had BU fans cheering for UNH.

That said, last night was awesome, and much thanks to the group of Northeastern girls behind us for tempting fate by endlessly chanting "You are gonna lose!" up 3-2 with over 10 minutes remaining.

The Great Outdoors: With a light snow falling and temps in the mid-20s, the first outdoor women's college game comes to life at Fenway Park.

On the Board: UNH's Shannon Sisk put her wrister past netminder Florence Schelling for her first tally of the year, and the Wildcats' first score of the game.
