Feb. 12 Scores: Someone break up the Rowdy Crowd, Oz home again, Cadets visit Spa

Re: Feb. 12 Scores: Someone break up the Rowdy Crowd, Oz home again, Cadets visit Spa

The hatred for "Oswego Fans" got lost when they moved to the CC...back in the Romney days they were one of the worst, (Middlebury still takes the cake of all time). I've been to nearly 75% of the eastern rinks in my time and Oswego isn't even in my top 10 as far as worst fans go. For the most part they are respectful and know the game. Even for as big of an event as a Plattsburgh game, all the fair weathered fans still put a positive spin on the game. I've been to the CC several times for non OSU/PSU games, so its not just a PSU/OSU bias. We've all had issues with other teams fans at some point for those who get out and visit other rinks, and by doing that the real college hockey fan knows who is who in the college world. Even on here most of the OSU fans are hockey knowledgeable fans, we all have our "fans"....but one has to come to realize that this is A) a college hockey game B) Division III C) see A........

Sometimes we need to sit back and be fans of the "game" not a team. I know I had a great time after the Fredonia game last night clapping for the young cancer patient who received the jersey. We were sitting their clapping for them and were told to "you won, now get the F out". Sometimes hockey isn't about winning or losing. Just like I drove to and from a nasty snow storm last weekend to make the Morrisville game to help support Todd. Win or lose seeing the community support for any game makes the drive worth while.

+1

I'm not fond of Elmira fans either. I got to see them first hand in Placid back in '08. Not saying I dislike them all, but yeah.

EDIT: Throw Potsdam's student section in there too.

That's my beef. Oswego, Elmira, and Potsdam. I really enjoy talking with Norwich fans. I never had any issues when I drove over to Kenyon last year for the quarters either.
I think we all have 'fans', we would like to see represent our schools in a more professional manner. But thats all part of the game.
Speaking of Elmira fans, we met a group in one the Placid shops prior to the Ntl Championship game in '08 and had a very nice conversation with them.
Same for the Norwich fans that same year.

Does anyone know how the Rowdy Crowd did in the playoffs?

USA Hockey is woefully behind on the updates.
