I'm unavailable for the date regardless, but do you mean Thursday the 25th, or Friday the 26th? You have Thursday the 26th in the form ;)

We had a good draft last Wednesday night. Everyone was well prepared so we were done by 9:45ish I think. I was the slow poke... couldn't spell. ;)

Anyway, now you folks have to go sign up and register your team at the Fantasy College Hockey site. The league that drafted on Wednesday night is named: USCHO-reddit_2. Very simple to sign up and register your team. Three of us have registered, 3 have not, and 2 didn't draft but can still sign up.... there are still plenty of good players available so why not sign up, enter a team from the drop down menus and have some fun.

Looking forward to another fun year.

P.S. Currently my team is in First Place with zero points. ;) :D

The importance of goalies... my skaters currently have 27 points. My goalies are getting waxed at -14 points. :eek: :mad:

It's a shame that folks sign up to do this, draft a team and then don't look at their team again.

At USCHO_reddit2, there's only 3 of us that are active and making roster moves. And there's some good teams in the league. The real shame is, AdamsBombers, who has participated the last 4 years and has always been an active participant, never saw the notification of the leagues and never got to draft a team. When our league had only 6 players draft a team, he came into the league late and drafted the 'leftovers'. His team is currently is in 3rd place with scrubs, because he gives a hoot and pays attention.

I meant to start doing this a few years ago, but never got around to it.... start making a record of players that actually participate in FCH. So next year, we can perhaps have a decent league. Myself, pgrass and AdamsBombers are very active participants. How about the other league? How many players? Next year we can start a league together.

You still playing bigblue_dl? I know you're a good player. Do you know of 3-4 others that would be active in a league?

I am working on a trade function that should help keep people engaged. It's been a lot of work but it is close.

Not playing this year, I was just too busy with a whole bunch of other stuff (including getting married) to prepare, and last year, the second half of the year, I didn't pay attention to it as much as I would like. I may be up for trying again next season, after life settles down again.

This went out in an email to the USCHO-reddit_2 League. Figured I'd post it here even though it's late.

Playoffs:
Playoffs will be available via the League Home page and will only be visible to members of the league. Leagues must have at least eight teams in order for playoffs to operate. At noon the day the playoffs commence, teams will be seeded by total points. Playoffs operate on a weekly cycle, from noon to noon, but the final round encompasses two weeks to account for the one week waiting period before the Frozen Four. The top point earner in each head-to-head period will advance, and the winner will inherit the higher seed. There are three playoff rounds. Otherwise all game rules apply - individual leagues are encouraged to devise their own rules for disbursing players from eliminated teams, etc.

2015 Playoffs - Modified Roster Rules:

1. You may make unlimited moves between your Active Roster and Bench Players throughout the playoffs.

2. Unlimited moves between your Bench and Free Agents are allowed until noontime, Monday, 3/16, which is the start of the First Round. No further free agent moves are allowed until the second round.

3. First Round: Starts Monday, 3/16 at noon. Ends Monday, 3/23 at noon.

4. Second Round: Starts Monday, 3/23 at noon. Ends Monday, 3/30 at noon. Maximum of 4 Bench/Free Agent moves allowed, 2 of which can be snipes from the opponent's roster that you defeated in the previous round. Snipes must be taken BEFORE the start of the first game of the next round.

5. Final Round: Starts Monday, 3/30 at noon. Maximum of 4 Bench/Free Agent moves allowed, 2 of which can be snipes from the opponent's roster that you defeated in the previous round. Snipes must be taken BEFORE the start of the first game of the next round. Our FCH Champion will be crowned on Sunday, April 12th.

NOTE: Once a team is knocked out of the playoffs, their roster is frozen (except for the 2 allowed snipes) and the remaining players are not available as free agents.

An explanation of the crazy looking roster log at FCH USCHO-reddit_2....

Unaware of the rules, AdamBombers made numerous free agent transactions yesterday. He was made aware of the playoff rules and has since corrected his evil ways. ;) :D He has kept 2 of those transactions, put everyone else back into the FA pool and his other 2 transactions will be snipes from MakeItAFamilyAffair's roster... Alex Petan (F-Michigan Tech) and Zach Palmquist (D-Minnesota State).

Hoping pgrass and buckeyes can find this thread so they can get their snipes if desired.

Thanks for the clarification! I grabbed Matt O'Conner (BU Goalie) and Riley Barber (Miami) from MadisonKrakens.
My free agent pickups are McClure from Minnesota St. and Parks from North Dakota.

Glad you found this thread pgrass. It's really only been the 3 of us that have participated all year. It would have been a shame if you didn't get a fair shot this weekend. Good luck.
