Elmira College Wounded Warrior Night Feb. 11th Re-post

I have been asked by Chip to post these pictures of the Hoodey/Jersey for those interested in buying them in support of this event. Chip was having difficulty posting these. All information as originally posted by Chip is as follows:

Elmira College will be joining the effort to support the Wounded Warrior – Hockey Helpers Campaign, at their February 11th home men’s ice hockey contest versus Hobart.

The Hockey Helpers is a program that has been established to give NCAA hockey teams the opportunity to volunteer and give back through multiple service projects. They collaborated with the Wounded Warrior Project to bring attention and support to the veterans wounded during war.

The WWP is a 501(c)(3) non-partisan, non-profit organization that exists to provide tangible comfort and support to the new generation of severely injured service members upon their return home from Iraq, Afghanistan, and other areas around the world.

Hockey Helpers increases the visibility of the WWP program by wearing apparel with the WWP and HH logos while doing community service projects. Along with the donations from the Elmira community, we have sold special sweatshirts and will be wearing custom designed jerseys during the game on February 11th. .

This is truly not about the hockey game but about giving back to a cause. I know how much the city of Elmira supports the men's hockey team, and I hope that we can work together to bring greater awareness to this organization.

I have also attached a few photos of the sweatshirt and jersey that I designed. Please feel free to contact me directly (781-702-0450) or Coach Aaron Saul (607-735-1800). Thanks again and I look forward to speaking with you!

Nice! those are all pretty sweet. Cool to see Elmira jumping on board with this great cause. Maybe it can branch out to even more ECAC West schools in the near future. I keep hoping the SUNYAC goes to a conference-wide Saves for the Cure night or weekend but maybe that's still a pipe dream.

I bought a sweatshirt to support the program and Coach Saul. Its very nice and warm, plus the hood is big which I REALLY like. Great product and would recommend it
But one question. Why is there an “H” on the front? H= hockey? No “EC”.

Re: Elmira College Wounded Warrior Night Feb. 11th Re-post

For clarification, the "H" stands for Hockey Helpers. This organization works in conjunction with the Wounded Warrior Project.

We used the Purple and Gold to bring the EC flavor to it.

good to know, thanks! Love mine and highly recommend it. Plus we need to support the program so they can continue to do fund raising like this
