Re: Election Results Thread

538 has a live blog running all night. From the "No Sh-t" department:

A more interesting piece of info from the link:

Here’s another interesting tidbit from the exit polls: Voters overall consider the economy the top issue facing the next president. But Clinton voters are significantly more focused on the economy than Trump voters, who are more concerned with terrorism and immigration. That runs counter to the narrative, which we’ve previously questioned, that Trump supporters are motivated primarily by economic anxiety.

Re: Election Results Thread

POTUS notes two stories from the afternoon:

1. "Ballot Irregularities" reported in NC. They are having an emergency session of the state leg to debate an extension of poll hours.

2. Estimates of up to 200k first time Latino voters in FL. Latino polling orgs are reporting breakdown of Latino vote is 80/20 Hillary.

Wow early estimates were like 69% Hill...80% is YUUUUUUGE!

i wonder what the numbers are for women...I know there is lots of stories about women going to Susan B. Anthony's grave after voting today (for Hillary) and the line was very long.

I saw in some early exit polling (may have been LA Times I forget) that 54% were concerned about Donald and his Women's Issues, 44% were worried about Hillarys Emails and that the majority polled (its exit polls so it matters not) felt Hillary was the better qualified candidate.

Re: Election Results Thread

Hillary is outpacing Obama in 7 of the 8 Indiana counties that have reported so far. Good sign.

Re: Election Results Thread

The polls closed 5 minutes ago of course things are too close to call :p

Re: Election Results Thread

I love when they show the votes and it is like 1% in and the leader has like 280 votes. Makes me chuckle :)

Re: Election Results Thread

Returns are just starting to come in for GA, VA and NH. 1% each. CNN has 12% of FL listed (Trump 50%, Clinton 47%). Not sure how that's possible.

Re: Election Results Thread

I didn't think she'd actually win Indiana. It's more that if she continues to draw at or better than Obama levels all night, she'll cruise to victory.

I know...I was actually more mocking that 1 minute after the polls closed 3 states were called with almost no votes counted :p

Re: Election Results Thread

Portman through. Scumbag.

West Virginia, Kentucky, and Indiana are all dead to me.

They werent before? ;)

This is playing right into the RIGGED!!!1!! narrative though...Drumpf will tout his early lead and how tremendous he was doing and then CROOKED HILLARY CLINTON lied and emailed her way to victory :p

Re: Election Results Thread

Don't like that trump is still ahead by that far with white college educated....

Re: Election Results Thread

We will see if it holds...I assume those numbers only hold for the states that are closed most of which were Drumpf states to begin with.

Re: Election Results Thread

Florida is shaping up fine so far. 45% of votes are in (not sure why as they've not closed voting yet). Trump is up by 2. A handful of Trump counties are 50% and over. But the Clinton heavy hitter counties of Broward and Miami Dade are zero percent in. So she's got a long runway at this point.

Edit: Clinton is up 10% in bellwether Tampa's Hillsborough county with 16% in.

Edit: 55% of vote is in...no change in any of the above numbers.
