Election Day 2025

No surprise. VA was decimated by the DOGE Derp. And it is relentlessly going blue, despite Youngkin's CRT gambit. Every year more educated people from tier 1 colleges move in. As states become educated they move Left. Obviously.

And Aunt Ruckus literally had only one message in her TV spots, which was "trans people are scary". Spanberger at least mentioned economic effects and DOGE cuts; and she just showed clips of Earle-Sears, which is enough to turn most voters off from the latter.

And western Loudoun has the Theocratic Republic of Purceville and its main madrassa Patrick Henry University; if they can't at least pull even there with the eastern half of the county they're finished.

Purceville is a hoot, ever been there? There's a huge building right in the middle of the main road through the town. No sidewalk, no signage, you just come down the street and there she is, like Times Square for derps.

I lived very close to that town. IIRC there are three recognized SPLC hate groups there. Two white nationalist and one Death Cult wackjob, as in snake handlers who kidnap the children of apostates and ahem welcome them in.

Kentucky Secretary of State Michael Adams, a member of the Republican Party, took to social media after fielding complaints from constituents.

“We’re getting calls about polls being closed,” he wrote on X on Tuesday. “They are closed because we do not have elections today. Kentucky votes next year.”

“You cannot vote today in Kentucky for the mayor of New York City or the Governor of Virginia,” he added. “Sorry.”

This is unsurprising.

Yeah okay, but how the hell did that shit work with such educated people in the first place? Is it because they’re educated white people, and also wealthy…just the kind stupid enough to fall for CRT horseshit. So, CRT now, what next, more trans shit? We have Gavin fucking Newsom on the wrong side of that issue…I don’t know, I’m all about education, but that doesn’t make people immune to what Republicans are throwing at them, or we wouldn’t be in this fucking predicament in the first place. Trump and lower prices? Anyone paying a fucking lick of attention knew that wasn’t true. And here we are.

Democrats just flipped both statewide Public Service Commissioner seats in Georgia. They ran on telling the AI thugs to FOAD.

Because VA is still the South, and the Death Cult still controls the South, and he was able to run a good ol' fashion Jesse Helms OH NOES THE QUEERS WILL SEDUCE YOUR BOYS! play.

There aren't enough ex-pat Ivy Leaguers to control VA, at least not yet. We depend on middle class UVA and VA Tech people to get across the line, and bless their hearts they still gather round and pray to the invisible Sky Daddy with the history of domestic violence.

And a dark dirty secret nobody talks about is The Element fell for the anti-trans stuff in a big way. They're even more in the tank for Jebus and worse bigots than the whites when it comes to LGBTQ.

Virginia's Lieutenant Governor will be a Muslim woman.

Having been in VA for most of September helping some family, it's funny how many Gov/AG commercials there were and not a single Lt Gov commercial. You would be hard-pressed to know that race was occurring.

Yeah I mean he did himself no favors if he blows it.
I didn't follow it much...was he the guy who got nailed for the text messages?

Is the AG the race that mattered most (besides Governor of course) when it came to redistricting?

New Jersey right now has 44% in and the Dems cruising...but not enough to call.

edit: 57-42 with 52% in. Sherrill leads by 255K.
