ECAC Team Crowned 2013 NCAA DI Champion

Re: ECAC Team Crowned 2013 NCAA DI Champion

Story on ECAC winning first title since 1989 with some tidbits of the ECAC teams to make FF between then and now.

This is wrong: "1991: Clarkson lost to Boston University, 3-2, in the NCAA Semifinals. The Golden Knights had one of the best winning percentages of any program in college hockey until recently."

This game was a blow-out. Paging defkit. I recall the final was 7-2. Amonte went off. Good times.

This is a tired argument. Move on. Beat the team that's put in front of you.

Don't get me wrong, If my team wanted to put a group of 25 year olds out there and won the championship, I would be screaming as loud as if they were all 18.
I was just pointing out the facts.

This article makes it sound like Yale is going to be playing a bunch of professionals.
I know that Q had a mature team, but did not realize how old they were.

Just doesn't seem like amateur athletes to me.
actually, of the 4 FF Teams, Q-Pac is the youngest.....Yale, the oldest..........http://collegehockeyinc.com/articles/infographic-frozen-four-breakdown

Only BC v BU (4 miles) has ever happened. Google says Q-Pac and Yale are 11 miles apart.

Other than the four Boston schools + Bentley, (all within 9 miles of each other), I think the next possibilities are Brown vs. Providence (3 miles), St. Lawrence v. Clarkson (11 miles), Air Force v Colorado College, (13 miles) RPI v Union (15 miles).

The closest possibility is BU v Northeastern (at 1.2 miles.

(Those are all Google campus distance to campus - not rink to rink.)
Harvard and BU rinks may be closer together than BU and NE. Harvards campus is definitely closer to both schools as Harvard Medical essentially abuts Northeastern and Harvard's B school is pretty much right around the corner from BU.

When was the last time you went to Houston Field House?

You are taking it out of context.....my point is they took the nicest arena in the ECAC and improved upon it. I have been to that aircraft hanger masquerading as a Hockey arena but not in the last two years. You are putting lipstick on a pig. They are putting more lipstick on Gisele Bundchen. You can't compare what a recruit would think walking into Houston vs. Q Pac.

The HHF was never an aircraft hanger -- it was a warehouse. :)
