ECAC Saturday 11/7/09

Re: ECAC Saturday 11/7/09

Heh. Wally just closed the period by saying, "The Bobcats lead the Saints 1-0, even though they outshot the B-cats 11-0."

Re: ECAC Saturday 11/7/09

I bought the video for Princeton-Clarkson since apparently Princeton football > Princeton hockey and there's no audio. Clarkson radio must not have made the trip.

Anyway, the score is 1-0 Princeton, and here's my take on what I've seen so far (bought the video about halfway through the first).

Clarkson completely dominated period 1, but it ended with Princeton leading 1-0. Clarkson won in shots (19-8), faceoffs (14-6), and power plays (3-1). We also had a blue-line 1-0 breakaway and failed to score. At least one of the power plays generated a bunch of grade A chances that we didn't convert. Kalemba is not in net, but this guy is doing very well and his defense is crowding the area in front of him so we're not getting much in the way of juicy rebounds -- everything gets cleared to the outsides very quickly. Our first shots are quality shots about half the time though. Right now there's a midget game during intermission.

Re: ECAC Saturday 11/7/09

Kalemba didn't start for Princeton???

Puck about to drop for Period #2 in Hamilton for Dartmouth-Colgate. The Big Green still have 1:50 of power play time.

Re: ECAC Saturday 11/7/09

Pretty good period from both teams, however it is clear we will see a lot of penalties both ways. As long as it is consistantly called, I don't care either way. Clarke has made some good saves on some good saints chances,, while moss wasn't really tested and got burned on the goal.

Just met markeshle' getting ready for the second.

Re: ECAC Saturday 11/7/09

Zach Curry with a brilliant drive to the net, backhands it high glove side. Brilliant goal!

2-0 Quinnipiac.

Re: ECAC Saturday 11/7/09

Princeton scores with 0:01 remaining in the carried-over Rufenach penalty. 2-0 Princeton. No, Kalemba didn't start -- according to prestosports it's Alan Reynolds.

Re: ECAC Saturday 11/7/09

David McIntyre credited for Colgate's 1st goal. Now Kevin McNamara lights the lamp!

2-0 Colgate
~11:47 2nd

Re: ECAC Saturday 11/7/09

Not a tripping penalty and. Didn't see the interference

Stupid penalty by holy, and possibly a goal saving hook by Keller. 4x4
