ECAC Quarterfinals Friday March 15

Re: ECAC Quarterfinals Friday March 15

Very simple. Our goalie has to be better than their goalie.

Re: ECAC Quarterfinals Friday March 15

Ylae came out flying, were up 12-1 SOG, then SLU's second shot went in.

Now it's 1-1

Re: ECAC Quarterfinals Friday March 15

SOG 17-5 Ylae. Play wasn't quite that lopsided overall, but it definitely was for the first 10 minutes. SLU needs to be better and the first line is going to have to come up big. Our defense is going to be exhausted playing against Ylae's speed.

Re: ECAC Quarterfinals Friday March 15

At the end of the 1st, Quinnipiac 1, Cornell 0. Connor Jones PPG for Q. Cornell announcers complaining a lot about the lack of calls for obvious penalties including hits to the head. Cornell will have a 1:30 PP at the start of the 2d.

Erik Axell not playing 2d period on a hit to the head that was not called by the refs. Gavin Stoick moved from defense to forward.

Kellan Jones scores for Quinnipiac. 3:13 2d. Quinnipiac 2, Cornell 1. Assists to Peca and Barron.

Re: ECAC Quarterfinals Friday March 15

Ferlin gets a Boarding. His second penalty of the game :(:(. Quinnipiac PP.

Penalty killed. Sounds as if a big Big Red crowd made it to Hamden.

About 33 minutes in at Ylae, no penalties yet on either team.

Re: ECAC Quarterfinals Friday March 15

Erik Axell is out for the rest of the game on a no-call hit on the head in the 1st period. Refs, your #1 job is to prevent injuries. You fail.

Re: ECAC Quarterfinals Friday March 15

3-1 Ylae. Saints with 7 shots on goal. Possession isn't that lopsided, but SLU's first line is not getting anything through to Malcolm. Ylae's first line is dominating.

Re: ECAC Quarterfinals Friday March 15

13:44. 2d. Brian Ferlin scores a PPG to make it Cornell 3, Quinnipiac 2. Assists to Lowrey & D'Agostino.
