ECAC QF Game 1, Friday

Re: ECAC QF Game 1, Friday

Are you watching the video broadcast? I had problems with it and I'm with the audio. From the audio it does seem Brown is playing well.

The video is working fine for me, I accessed it via the QU athletics site.

Re: ECAC QF Game 1, Friday

Brown game is available on Brown's media website. I am not aware of an ECAC package. That would be too progressive for the ECAC.

Also, I believe it is an ECAC package- buy one game for $9, and you get to switch between all four games. Not a bad deal, considering it's usually $8 for one game.

Re: ECAC QF Game 1, Friday

-Each team has looked pretty good on offense.
-The QU video stream is great! I remember a few years back the guy who was operating the camera didn't seem to understand that people watching would want to follow the puck. I remember the camera being on Clemente as Brown scored a goal. At least I got to see the goalie celebrate. But tonight, it's very good camerawork, and their commentators are top-notch.
-The place is empty! It feels like a game at Meehan. The far side is about 80% empty seats, and the rest of the place is maybe 50% full. It's sad that most ECAC teams seem to draw fewer fans to playoff games.
-QU's goal was set up on a BEAUTIFUL passing sequence on a PP. Brown's goal was scored on a snipe off of the faceoff that beat Hartzell high glove side.

I will try Q's site. Mike is Ok but I miss jack.

About 3K at the yale game no sellout here, yale is dominating play and outshooting 15-3

Re: ECAC QF Game 1, Friday

Dartmouth scores late in the first. 1-0 Big Green after 1.

SLU women and Harvard scoreless after 1 in Ithaca. Cornel beat Q'Pac 5-1 this afternoon, so the "reward" for the SLU-Harvard winner is to play a 29-3-0 Cornell Team in their barn tomorrow.

Wow, I just learned something after 42 years of following hockey - Wally noted that goalies scrape the crease before each period starts in order to reduce the glare from the fresh ice surface. Even havng played intramural goalie, I thought "we" did it to reduce any standing water. No wonder my save percentage was about 20%. LOL.

Mark Armstrong scores for SLU to make it 2-1. Half-way thru the 2nd. Then Tommy Thompson scores 25 secs. later to tie it at 2.
