ECAC Playoffs: Brown @ RPI 3/4, 3/5, and maybe 3/6

Re: ECAC Playoffs: Brown @ RPI 3/4, 3/5, and maybe 3/6

FWIW, I just received an email that Saturday's game will be shown at the Crystal City Sports Pub in Arlington, VA. I suspect that some other local alum clubs will also be showing it.

All of RPI's games are close.
We are going into this series with some of our best forwards banged up. We don't even know at this point how many forwards will be able to play.
In order to win this series, we are going to need everyone to give it 100%. Brown will not hand it to us.

Does anyone know what the video situation is for this series? Also, will they be selling tickets for individual games or only blocks?

They are selling tickets for both individual games and blocks.
Tickets go on sale at 12 Noon today at HFH Box Office. They can be reached at 518-276-6262.

I hope you are right. I am really looking forward to a trip to Lake Placid. The last time I attended the ECAC finals was in Boston Garden when Oates, Carter, Puppa and company were raising the roof in 1985.
Lake Placid was lovely in the 90's when we seemed to make the final four several years. It was only a 45 minute drive for jenny and i from our homei in the central Adirondacks but usually we stayed in town after the games as we had a blast win or lose. Took us 2 days to get home after the win in 1995 over Princeton.

So Pirri gets traded to Anaheim & the Ducks then send Harry Z back down......wah wah wahhhhhh. Fear not though Brownies, Garnett Hathaway has been called up to Calgary, right after they traded a Big Greenie (David Jones) to Minny.........EDIT; Hathaway has made his NHL debut in tonight’s game vs Phil. Good for him. Comes out of college as a FA & is now in the NHL.

Wonder what happened to Harry Z? Also, another Greenie (Lee Stempniak) was shipped up to Boston.

Dennis Robertson was also on the move today, being traded by Chicago back to Carolina.

FWIW, a boat load of players were sent from NHL Teams to their AHL Teams yesterday to get their names on the Rosters making them Playoff eligible. IDK if that was the case with Harry Z. Kid can certainly skate with any NHLer.

Thank you. Now I just have to decide if I want to go on Friday or Saturday.

I bought a ticket for Saturday to witness the first home series playoff win in a long time. Just doing some rough calculating, it is now impossible to get an NCAA at large bid given there are not enough games left to move up far enough in the PWRs. So getting to Placid and winning is imperative. Just something else to consider - even if the team goes 6-0 in gaining the autobid (it will be in its best possible position in the PWR), that would leave our RPI in the .535 range which might be 16th or 17th. Given the possibility of a number of upsets in other conferences, we might even avoid playing the number one or two seed but we would almost certainly be in the 4th tier. Frankly as I see it there is not much to choose from as far as playing any of the top 4 seeds. But if we were to qualify and be placed in Albany I would be happily purchasing more tickets.

Students are not on spring break this weekend, which is somewhat of a rarity. 2011 was the last time a home playoff series was not during spring break, and it had been a while prior to that.

Bumping this to get the packers off the front page

"Go ECAC!" to stay relevant

I still have my Student ID card from 1972. Does that get me free pizza?

There's a possibility of an RPI TV boycott. Stay tuned to this thread/the game thread before buying.
