ECAC Pick The Standings Contest 20013-14

Re: ECAC Pick The Standings Contest 20013-14

I am reminded of the American League pre-season prognostications. They said of the AL East that all you had to know was that the Sawx could never finish first and the Yankees could never finish last. ;) ;)

Quite the comeback last night in Foxboro and Fenway. Bump back to page 1.

The Yankees finished third this year.

If not, I can post them as entries so you don't have to go look them up.</strike> I saw # 2 in the thread. thanks.

Are you saying RPI and Hahvad may not open up the ECAC season on Oct 29th???

No, I meant that I have that long to find out the extent of Jason Kasdorf's injury and how Scott Diebold does in his place before I decide if it should affect my picks.

I think he might be referring to the Kasdorf injury, which we know very little about at the moment.

Under the rules as I understand them, you can change your entry at any time up until the deadline anyway merely by submitting a new slate.

You are correct. Remember to submit a NEW Slate and DO NOT modify your initial slate. Only 11 days to get in or modify your picks.

I understand that. I made my picks as post #9 on this thread.

What I wondered about, and now know the answer, was how much time I had to modify them, if I want to do that, since we did not know much about Kasdorf's injury when I made the post. Of course, we still don't know much, but at least I will be able to see how Diebold performs. When vicb used to track both original and changed picks, I found out that I was no smarter later in the preseason than I was early in the preseason, so I probably won't change my picks anyway. :D

And remember-since a few weeks have passed-you may have lost a few more Betz cells and other grey matter so your previous picks might have been made when you were sharper and smarter.

Re: ECAC Pick The Standings Contest 20013-14

Interesting: so far, no ECAC team has a losing OOC record, and all but one have winning records. EZAC? I think not.

Re: ECAC Pick The Standings Contest 20013-14

Last night (Friday, October 18) Union College was the only ECAC team to lose, by one point, in overtime, with a badly depleted (injury) team. Looks like the ECAC is continuing where it left off last season, kicking butt !!!!

Hi Vic,

Will be picking soon. Do I get extra credit for all the times (about 10 a game) that the Clarkson Round Table Chat Room kicks me out? :)
