ECAC Pick The Standings 2014-2015 Season

Would it be difficult to add a column to your list that gives the post numbers from this thread where each person gave their pick? E.g. I was just curious what FD08 picked to be in last place, and it takes a while to find posts here.

And our leader in the contest after week 2 of play is 97osu220. Mr Last Year has moved up to 19th, The Random Number is up to 28th and The Fan Average has fallen to 50th place. Bringing up the rear is FlagDUDE08.

Jenn and Doc are now impressively in 4th and 5th.

Vic: I had a very good week. But notice carefully who is in 4th and who is in 5th. I can almost never score better than her in your contest. 40 years with her and I still have no clue how she does things. It is never boring-every day waking up next to her is like a trip to Disneyworld. Honestly do not know how I could have made it through this year without her.

What do you mean "of course"? I wasn't going to pick them last until they got shut out by Bentley, and had been effectively shut out four times. That's well enough of a reason to think they aren't going to perform. If they think they can, then by all means, prove me wrong. Otherwise, Sully's "Brown Rule" takes effect.

Sometimes varying positions can be quite stimulating.;) I better enjoy this week since I am relatively sure that this will all change rapidly in the next few weekends. With each team having played 6 games, at least the standings are not as skewed as they often are early in the season with some team having played twice as many games as others.

As the pre Christmas portion of the ECAC schedule is in the books, our new leader in the contest is engineerhockeyfan. Mr Last Year is in 17th, The Random Number is tied for 11th and The Fan Average is in 49th place. FlagDUDE08 replaces johnk at the bottom.

In the battle of the Jenny/Doc household, Jenny has surged into 2nd while Doc has fallen into 8th.

The next ECAC League Games will be on Dec 27th/28th when travel partners Prinny and Quinny do a home and home. Have a Happy Holiday season everyone. Should be an exciting race to the finish in 2015.

Vic: I knew my success was short lived. I am still holding up pretty well-but I do not know how she does it every year. I have asked-one year she listed the teams in reverse alphabetical order of their nicknames, one year she ranked them by helmet colors or some other crazy thing. Perhaps that sort of thing is the best way to approach this competition since i am still near the top and actually just picked the teams at random for the first time. The more I researched and the more carefully I selected, the lower I was in the standings. Maybe next year i will make my picks based on the alphabetical order of the coaches first names?
In any case, although quite early to do this - everyone here in this contest-Have a happy holiday season and sincere wishes that the new year brings us all a better world and a better life than what we saw for this past year.
