Re: ECAC Pick The Standings 2014-2015 Season

Can I propose a new "novelty entry" for this year? I'd like to see how someone who didn't pay attention to any of the changes that happened in the offseason and just put last year's final standings as their entry would perform. This would be his list for this season:

1. Union
2. Colgate
3. Quinnipiac
4. Cornell
5. Clarkson
6. Yale
7. RPI
8. SLU
9. Brown
10. Dartmouth
11. Harvard
12. Princeton

Use it, ignore it, do what you will. I just thought it would be an interesting thing to see.

EDIT: Just checked, Mr. Inertia wouldn't have finished higher than 62nd any of the last four seasons.

Changed mine. Union is 3rd. That's what happens when you copy and paste.

Re: ECAC Pick The Standings 2014-2015 Season

Exercise in ignorance and futility step 1: wild guesses with no real analysis behind them....

1 Colgate (because everyone else likes them and my wife's uncle played there)
2 Cornell (Because red likes to hang with red)
3 Clarkson (Just to get the C schools all out of the way)
4 Quinny (Took a poll and this is what came back)
5 Union (Running out of Leaman's recruits...)
6 Yale (This pick is not a lock)
7 DC (mid-pack masters)
8 RPI (you can't win a game 0-0... does this mean another 1st round loss to Brown?)
9 Brown (Death, taxes and Brown somewhere near 8-9)
10 HU (Good degree, so-so coach, worse administration?)
11 PU (What's that smell?)
12 SLU (Sucks Like Union (of old))

And the pressure falls on Colgate to win the 3rd straight NC for the ECAC!

Re: ECAC Pick The Standings 2014-2015 Season

It will be tough to match my performance from last season but here goes....

1. Union. Until someone proves otherwise.
2. Colgate. 20 win team gets better.
3. Yale. Coach Allain.
4. Cornell. There's a lot to like about this team.
5. QPac. Lost a ton but will still be tough.
6. Dartmouth. Lake Placid run?
7. Brown. Strong recruiting will start to pay dividends.
8. Clarkson. Knights will be competitive as always.
9. Harvard. Lots of underachieving talent.
10. RPI. Hope I'm wrong about this.
11. SLU. Work in progress.
12. Princeton. Give Fogarty a couple of years.
